NOAH knew he had an inexplicable need to play a part he thought was gifted to him by whoever scripted the life he had been born into. His part was that of a martyr, a supporting character. For the important players to live, he had to die.And that he did. Every single day, watching Sabrina slip away slowly as he held tighter. He bled in the dark of their room and drowned when he was alone.
Love had suppressed him all his life and he was far too adamant in his role to realize that he hadn't lived for himself since discovering that he could live for someone else.
Each time he died, he felt as though he had some purpose. He was only worth anything when someone else was getting better as they relied on him. Noah was nothing without being somebody to someone.
It was what kept him tied to Sabrina, her need to need him.
But eventually people get better and learn to fend for themselves. People grow into their own bodies like clay molding beneath careful hands, shifting into a shape and remaining that way unless another pair of hands changes its form.
Noah realized with dread, for the first time he dreaded that he would have to die for another love of his. For the first time ever, Noah never wanted to let go of someone. Wishing she could grow and choose to stay with him.
