Age 18

It was just a little over two months into my senior year of high school and today I was running a little late.

"I've always loved you." He said to me.

I stared at him, blinking my eyes a few times.

He was tall.

He was handsome.

Smart, athletic, everything someone could want in a boy.

"Don't say that." I mumbled, lowly.

"You don't want me to be honest?" He asked, smiling at me.

Taking a deep breath, I clenched my fists together, holding them at my sides.

"I just don't want you to say that."

"Well, I'm not going to stop saying it." He smirked. "I love you, Ember."

"Stop it." I balled my lips together, looking down at the ground.

"Well." Another charming smiled appeared on his face. "Can you say it back?"

Taking another deep breath, I lifted my head up and stared at him for what seemed like a long time.

"No." I responed flatly.

"No?"

"No."

______

Later that day

I walked into my next class, thinking about what just happened.

I guess stranger things have occurred.

Anzai Amaretta

"Would've never expected that." I mumbled to myself.

Who would've thought that Anzai had those type of strong feelings for me? I thought to myself.

He was a senior at here at MelWood High, which was the same school I attended of course.

He was tall, attractive, funny, smart, athletic and somehow he still managed to stay in trouble with his teachers. He had tattoos which made some people turn their noses up at him while most didn't care.
