I am black skin
I am me
I am dirty
I am white
I am cleanI am black skin
Behold, the colours of mother Africa,
Wandering in deciet.
I am old
I am fair
I am vanityI am black skin
I am treated, hostile, rash.
Colours fadingI am black skin
Remember I was once you, little you.I am black skin
I stand upon waters with jewels adorned,
On my hips, my eyes, my toes.
My lips pierced with belonging.I am black skin
I fight for beauty
I fight for strengthI am black skin
I am hungry
I am filledI am poor
I am richI am human
I am spiritI am black skin
I am child
I am adultI am black skin
I am blackI am beautiful, gazelles cannot be compared to me.
I water fountains continuously.
My eyes are blessed with sight,
Clarity as a goddess.I am black skin
Adore me,
Turn meCast me away
Feel me.Kick me
Throw me.I am black skin
Criticize me,
Hold me.Drill me,
Cast me away.Black i be
Black I forever be,
Black I will be.I am black skin
Vanity black I be.
