"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Jaehyun was a constant texter like my other suitors. All of my suitors are aware that I am not interested in a relationship and that they should wait, but Jaehyun didn't.

Displeased by his confession at the school's soccerfield, I pursed my lips, everyone cheered for him. I take the flowers he offered from his hands "thank you, Jaehyun"

"But unfortunately" I add "I'm not ready for this yet"

The look in his face gave him away, he was disappointed. I don't want to embarrass him but I'm really not going to commit again if I'm not ready

"Sorry, Jaehyun. Thank you for the surprise, the flowers are beautiful but I don't want a boyfriend" I tell him

"Oh"

"I knew it, she still can't get over Gavin" they declared

"I just don't want a relationship, Jaehyun" I said truthfully 

He was devastated as he walked away from the scene. His friends hugged him for support, I hate the thought of rejection but I have no other choice

"You should turn boys down for a living!" Nayeon laughed pointing at Jaehyun, I hugged the flowers tightly

Not only am I not interested or attracted to Jaehyun, I'm still not ready "why do they always say you can't get over Gavin?"

When I think about what really forced me to break up with Gavin it becomes an unspoken thought that I can't tell others, I was willing to forgive Gavin and just start over. But my emotions after Jimin spoken to me that day...made me lose my interest

"I don't even care about him"

My friend was about to ask another question if only Jin didn't playfully, smashed and threw a bottle. I giggled knowing that he was upset at Jaehyun

"Fuck, another one?! I thought I'm already done with this!" He said dramatically, but I know deep down inside he was in rage

I smiled and looked at his friends that laughed. My gaze stayed on Jimin that had his eyes on the flowers I was holding, surprised and not so enlightened. Jin's friends had different reactions

My brother approached me and glared at the flowers "Jin! it's just a suitor!"

"When will your suitors get enough of you?"

He massaged his temples

"I gave him a good rejection, okay!" I said and he smiled, turning to his friends

"Well, thank god!" Jin sighed

His friends laughed but Jimin didn't laugh along with them. He remained serious. I looked around his friends and saw that Seulgi was nowhere to be found

The news about my break up with Gavin spread like wild fire but I could care less. Even my brother Jin is overjoyed about it

ever since Jimin told me that I wasn't ready for any relationships I realized that I really wasn't. that fleeting emotion of pride was starting to fade

"Good thing you broke up with that good for nothing egg!" Jin laughed with his arm around my shoulder "you deserve the best!"

Class was over and I walked to the soccer fields to see Jimin and his other friends, he was laughing just before he saw me his lips fell to a frown
