Enid and I were now in her room, scouting out the quad from the enormous window she had in her room. She mentioned that Wednesday used to play cello out there. "There she is," Enid whispered. "Does she still have the shadow?"

"Yes," I confirmed, watching the young girl make her way out of the school grounds.

"Let's go," Enid declared, grabbing her bag and phone. I followed after her, running down the steps to the quad.

Once we were in the quad, we made a sharp right, down the path that led to the woods. "I don't see her," I stated, hands bunched up into small fists.

"I don't either, I can't believe we lost her so quickly," she sighed. We kept walking down the path and eventually we came across a small little cabin-like structure. Enid seemed disinterested.

"What's that?" I asked curiosity piqued. "Maybe the girl went in here."

"That's Xavier's art studio," she dismissed me. "He keeps it locked."

"Art studio?" I breathed out. In the woods?

"Ah - a -ah - a," a voice sang. I stopped in my tracks.

"Tell me you heard that," Enid pleaded, a squeak evident in her voice.

"Oh, I heard that alright," I confirmed, racing towards the voice.

"Wait, are we supposed to be going towards weird noises and sounds in the woods!?" Enid wailed in despair.

"We're trying to find Alison before she dies," I reminded her. Enid nodded, seeming to take a big gulp for courage.

"AHHHHHHHHHH," a loud girlish voice screamed into the night. I began to sprint towards the sound, which was in the direction we were jogging anyways.

"Oh my god," I breathed in horror when we made it. It was a crime scene at this point. There was blood splattered in every direction you could imagine.

Enid gasped beside me when she finally reached the scene. "Oh God," she hyperventilated. "That's a lot of blood."

I pulled out my phone and immediately dialed 9-1-1. "Hello, 9-1-1 what's your emergency?"

I felt numb as I gave them the details of the scene and a rough estimate of our location in the woods. This wasn't something new for me, seeing a dead body. But you could never quite get the gruesome images out of your brain.

"I told you," I sighed as the Sheriff approached us.

"What?" Enid whispered.

"I've never been able to change a person's fate," I explained.

"I need to have a chat with you two," the sheriff declared.

"Of course," I nodded to him.

"Ok," Enid nodded as well, tears pooling in her eyes. I touched my cheek and realized they were already falling from mine.

"What were you two doing out here late at night?" the sheriff asked. I looked to Enid in fear. We hadn't thought of an alibi as to why we were in the woods.

"We were just taking a night walk," Enid said lamely.

"A night walk when it's near the full moon," the sheriff stated accusingly. My eyes widened. Enid was a werewolf? And the way the body was chewed up. They'd think Enid had done it.

"We heard a voice singing in the woods before we heard screaming," I stated, hoping the sheriff would believe this.

"Singing," he repeated back dryly.

"Yes," I insisted. "It was a female singing."

"Girls!" Principal Hoffman exclaimed.

"Nevermore students at the center of yet another tragedy." the sheriff stated.

"The last killer was the normies," Hoffman hissed. "I wouldn't go pointing fingers again so harshly, Sheriff. You got people killed last time with your prejudice."

"You have a good evening Principal Hoffman. My men will take it from here," the sheriff stated.
