Hidden Island Chapter 1 ~Washed Ashore~

Lucy.

I raised my bow and shot. The humongous beast roared in pain and fell to the ground, my arrow bulging from it's stomach. I ran towards the fallen creature with my sword raised and stabbed down through his giant eye, into his brain. With a final roar the troll died.

I was running through the dense forest, away from the wild beasts that were now devouring the dead troll's body. I finally stopped when I came to the shore of the ocean. For a moment I scanned around the area, making sure there was no other troll in sight. My eyes stopped upon a body. From where I stood it looked like and elf, but not one that I recognized.

I , slowly, walked over to where the man was laying. Kneeling down next to it I noticed two things, he had the smallest ears I had ever seen, and his hair was black. Elves never had black hair, because it would give us away to any creature that may want to eat us, and we never had such tiny ears.

This man was not an elf. Only one creature in the planet I knew of looked even remotely like us, a human. I searched his unconscious body for weapons. When there were none I noticed a long gash in his side, blood flowing quickly. Whatever caused me to do what I did next, I have no idea. I pulled off my cloak and tied it around the cut to slow the bleeding and tried to pick him up. Unfortunately, I was not strong enough to carry him.

I quickly ran from the body towards the castle. After almost an hour of running I arrived. Running through the castle to find my father, I noticed everyone staring at me. I was covered in the man's blood. Ignoring the people's eyes constantly on me, I finally found my father.

''Fahter! Father, I need a healer! There is an injured man!'' I said quickly. ''Woah, slow down. Who is hurt?'' He asked. ''He- he isn't an elf...'' I said slowly. My father eyes widened and he exclaimed, ''What?!'' I flinched slightly, ''A human somehow ended up here. I would have killed him, but if he was able to get past the enchantment on the water... maybe he is meant to be here.''

His mouth seemed to hit the floor at my words but he quickly composed himself, ''Fine, I will send a healer with you, but if he does anything that could possibly endanger you or any of my people he will be killed.'' I nodded and went off to get Markus, the only healer I trusted. We were friends, as he was the only one besides father who didn't think I was a freak.

A healer was an elf born with special abilities to heal. With a touch they could heal a small gash in a second. One as large as the cut on the man would be difficult, but most certainly not impossible.

''You  want me to help a human?'' Markus asked. ''Yes! Please, Markus, please just help him.'' I begged. I didn't know why the it meant so much to me that the human was okay, but it did. Markus simply nodded and ran behind me as I lead him to the shore.

There the man laid, his blood beginning to seep through my cloak. Markus's eyes widened when he removed my cloak, revealing the long, deep cut. He placed his hands on it and his eyes glazed over. His teeth gritted in pain, as he took in the pain from the injury to heal it. Markus let out a grunt and fell backwards, revealing the man's newly healed side. In it's place was a long, jagged scar.

The man gasped as he was awoken. His eyes bulged when he saw me staring curiously at him. He shot up from the ground, fear in his eyes, and ran. I took off after him and grabbed one of his arms. The man struggled to get away, so I did the first thing that came to mind. I raised my arm and knocked him hard in the head, knocking him out.
