Just very quickly before we start off:

"Character is speaking Na'vi"
"Character is speaking English"

————————————————————————

The sun burned ruthlessly down onto Pandora's earth this morning, the clear water reflecting its shine, creating dozens of dancing dots of light on the undisturbed surface. Mil'hō groaned quietly as he squeezed his eyes shut against the merciless, blinding ball in the sky. On a usual morning he would still be deep in his sleep, lying in his family's Marui Pod. This day already pissed him off and it hadn't even properly begun yet. He jumped a bit as he felt his fathers huge hand grabbing his shoulder from behind. Takyùn was one of the sturdiest, most respected warriors of the tribe, therefore heaving quite the legacy onto his son's rather slim back, which he never got tired of mentioning. The young Na'vi turned his neck to look back at his father, who let his gaze wander over the water surface in front of the two. Mil'hō's strong tail twitched nervously. His father hadn't told him what they would be doing at this hour, at which the majority of Awa'atlu was still sleeping soundly and this lack of knowledge slowly began to gnaw at his patience. He was barely over twenty years old. His turquoise skin didn't bear any scars yet. Even Ao'nung had one to show around in the village, which he apparently received during a fight out before the reef. Obviously Mil'hō hoped his father would take him out to the shallow parts of the coast to teach him how to ride a Swimwing, since taming one of those would finally pave his way into adulthood. Until he mastered this rite he would still be perceived as a child, keeping him from living up to his father's name. Takyùn's eyes finally met his sons, showing an amused shimmer when he noticed the young boy's exasperation to get moving. "Don't you want to appreciate this view for a couple of moments?", the tall Na'vi teased almost playfully just to watch the way his son flattened his pointy ears against his head. He chuckled quietly and at last motioned for his son to get moving. Mil'hō's face lit up in an instant as he slid out of his fathers grasp to jog down to the broad line of sand, which the villagers used to easily let themselves slide into the water. His entire body relaxed when he felt the lukewarm stream wrap around his legs, inviting him to decent into its familiar blue deeps. Still unsure wether his wish would fulfil itself on this sunny day, he turned around to look over at his father whom had followed him down to the beach. The warriors eyes however were fixed on a spot behind his son, his broad, muscular tail jagging nervously. Confused about his fathers distraction the boy turned around, his feet still submerged a few inches in the water, to notice a small group of Metkayina warriors who were standing on a wooden bridge nearby, apparently surrounding something. Or someone. Mil'hō's eyes narrowed as he turned back to his father. "We have to see what's happening over there. Tonowari looks... concerned", Takyùn's voice sounded with a slight growl, causing his son to quickly stumble out of the water and follow him towards the crowd that grew minute by minute. Before his feet even touched the wood - that was covered with soft sand in more spots than not - his father held out an arm to make sure he didn't run straight into Ronal. The Olo'eyktan's mate stormed past them towards the middle of the circle that had formed around - what Mil'hō now recognised as - a small collection of forest Na'vi and their rides. Two of the winged creatures looked around hastily, their heads jerking left to right, visibly not enjoying the conditions their riders had put them in. Of course not. They probably weren't used to water or this kind of climate at all. Mil'hō's gaze met Tsireya's, before she raised her head to try and read her fathers expression. Tonowari's face was calm by now, though his ears slightly folded back once he noticed his pregnant mate right next to him, staring the strangers down. "Jake Sully... he and his family request refuge. They can't stay in the forest anymore", the Metkayina lead quietly informed the pregnant Tsahìk that immediately bared her teeth at the Na'vi who held Mil'hō's entire attention hostage in this moment. Jake Sully. The demon's blood who had saved them all from the sky-people when he was still a child. He was standing right in front of him, his family gathering behind him, silently praying that his tribe would take them in. "They seek war and now they want to carry it over to us? No! Tonowari. You can't let them stay!", Ronal growled at her mate, the tattoo on her chin twisted into an angry curl. The massive Na'vi raised his hands in a calming manner, his look reminding her of the child growing inside of her that might be affected if she stressed too intensely. "We will learn! We will adapt! We won't be a burden. I promise", the Na'vi with skin of a darker tone of blue than Mil'hō's jumped in, his powerful voice sending shivers down the boy's back. It wasn't hard picturing this man in a fight, drenched in blood that wasn't his. Ronal, now realizing her mate had already made his choice, let out a last, desperate hiss, before turning her back on their guests, which Tonowari finally announced as such. From his spot on the side of the circle Mil'hō could make out the relief on the faces of the two young men, whose skin had the same dark teint as their fathers. Tsireya was chosen to show the Sully family to their new stay. Before the young warrior could offer her to assist, Takyùn cleared his throat audibly to drag his son's attention back onto him. "We should reschedule our plans from this morning. I want to check up with Tonowari to see if Sully will require any help during the next few days", for a second it seemed like he might wanted to add something else, but he simply let it fall, dismissing his son with a quick gesture of his hand, before turning to head towards the leaders Marui. Mil'hō stayed back, his feet digging into the warm sand below them as he let his thoughts about the forest-family run free. They asked for sanctuary. Given the fact that Jake was one of the biggest warriors Pandora's sun had ever  shed its light upon, this had to mean they were deep in trouble. Would they be safe from the issues tailing them here by the reefs? Would the Metkayina's still be safe? The boy couldn't imagine Jake purposefully doing anything to endanger anyone who originally hadn't had anything to do with his problems at all. The young Metkayina tried calming himself with this thought as he made his return for his own home. He kept an eye out for the Olo'eyktan's children, since he was certain they would have the most secure information on what would happen to the immigrant family. He hoped Jake's children could simply join them in patrols underwater and help on land. Thinking back there had been two girls and a woman behind Jake. Perhaps one of them could support Rolan with her duties in the village. Mil'hō nearly hit his head twice on low arches while he wandered through the village back home, deeply invested in his own thoughts.

(If you made it this far I assume you noticed that this first chapter is mostly an introduction to the setting so I tried keeping it a bit shorter. Obviously there are a few spoilers of the actual movies up to this point, but that will change pretty soon dw. Anyhow I hope you like this so far since I do plan to keep this going for a while.
