His tail pushed the water aside with strong, fluent movements, as the Metkayina boy glid through the warm streams effortlessly. Slowly reaching the sandy ground of the reef, Mil'hō turned onto his back, the tail now stroking through the soft sand below, to admire the turquoise sea above him stretching seemingly endlessly in all directions. The sun couldn't reach him properly down here, giving the reef a chance to glow in its own, somewhat mysterious and magical way. The flora down here on the bottom of the sea sparked in various shades of blue, green, and purple always shedding just enough light to make out the most important shapes. Mil'hō let his eyes move over the dark beauty undisturbed for a few moments. His head jerked back a little, as a body suddenly pushed itself in front of his face. It didn't take his eyes long to adjust to the sudden change of scenery, helping him to make out Ao'nungs features in the gloomy deep, who was showing his pointy teeth in a sheepish grin. The Olo'eyektan's son raised one of his large hands to gesture a slang for "Scared?" by pointing toward Mil'hō before placing his hand flatly on his own chest, raising his eyebrows to imitate fright. The younger one folded his ears back a bit and rolled his eyes in a dismissive manner, as he dragged his index and middle finger over the tip of his nose before bringing his thumb and index finger together into an "O.K." shape to rather impolitely advise Ao'nung to get out of his face. The other young Na'vi shook his head amusedly, before finally informing Mil'hō about the reason why he had gotten disturbed by him. Lo'ak, Neteyam, and Kiri - the Sully children whose names Mil'hō had finally figured out after nearly a week that they had already spent with the Metkayina clan - would be shown how to ride and - hopefully at some point - tame an Ilu. Ilus were powerful but elegant creatures of the sea, that the oceanic clan mostly used to improve their movement in the deeper parts of the water or during the hunt for fish, holding onto their scaled backs to glide across the strong waves. Mil'hō remembered very well how hard the holding-on-part could be when the creature slipped back through the water's surface to dive down if one lacked a bit of training. Though there was hardly anything that could compete with the feeling of sheer euphoria when the rider and Ilu finally managed to get along and work together underwater in perfect harmony. Every member of his village had their own domesticated Ilu which they also had to equip with a proper saddle and gear for longer rides. Mil'hō's expression changed in an instant from slight annoyance to interest, when Ao'nung asked him whether or not he wanted to join in for the forest kids' first Ilu-riding lesson. Playing his excitement off a little he only agreed after a couple of moments, gesturing for the taller boy to lead the way. He had already been underwater for quite a while, but his breath still appeared to last long enough to reach the coast safely. On Ilu at least. He left doing the call, that the Ilu's responded to, to Ao'nung since he didn't really appreciate the feeling of calling for his ride underwater. It made him feel like one of the fish swimming in their swarms around him, curling and tumbling all over themselves, not a single thought in their tiny brains. The young warrior could barely even make out the deep sound Ao'nung created in the back of his throat, but only seconds later two slim-bodied, graceful animals leaped towards them through the water like it didn't put any resistance on their shoulders and fins. He stretched out his hand, grabbing for the Ilu as it slid past him, not even slowing down a little to let him adjust. They had been swimming together for the past few years. They knew each other's movements better than their own. Mil'hō couldn't suppress a slight grin as the forceful creature carried them both through the silent world beneath the water's surface. Ao'nung and his Ilu swam right in front of them, their bodies moving in unity. They headed towards the furthest edge on the northern side of Awa'atlu, where the water close to the beach stayed comparatively shallow for a few feet. This was where the youngest members of the clan learned to swim and control their breathing in a safe environment. "You are treating them like children", Mil'hō noticed with an amused snarl as his Ilu finally slowed down to break through the surface. He breathed in deeply, filling his lungs with air for just a second. Another few minutes without breathing probably wouldn't have harmed him yet, but this was where he had to draw the line for it to be comfortable. It was far less than what he knew Tsireya's record was, though he didn't really mind that. She was the one teaching their youngest how to manage their breathing to be independent in what would become their most natural habitat. The two young men led their Ilu's toward one of the docks nearby, thanking them for carrying them by gently patting their long necks, before letting go of the strap and climbing out of the water. Ao'nungs sister and the small group of guests had already gathered a few feet from the bank, their dark blue bodies submerged in the water up to their waists. Tsireya's Inu was circling them in calm, content motions to slide between her and Jake's older daughter, Kiri. The pretty Metkayina Na'vi held out one of her hands to guide Kiri's to gently touch the creature's neck. Tsireya's Ilu was more than used to inexperienced riders, since she enjoyed spending her time with the younger warriors of the clan, teaching them tricks for future hunting missions they would have to attend once they came of age. Now she would be teaching a girl who belonged into trees. Mil'hō couldn't imagine what climbing through the vast forests of Pandora must feel like. He knew for a fact however that this feeling would only give him an unnerving amount of vertigo. The young Na'vi shook his head from side to side a few times to rid himself of this imagination, before guiding his attention back to the girl who now grabbed the strap on the Ilu's back that was attached to its chest by strong, self-crafted leather belts. Tsireya gave the creature a quiet click of her tongue, a sign to start moving. The two forest brothers watched in nervous excitement as the Ilu began pulling their sister over the shiny surface, slowly building up some speed. Kiri appeared to be doing a not-so-bad job until Tsireya gave the sign for her Ilu to dive under. The sudden change of pressure on her hand forced the Na'vi to let go of the creature who, now that there was no excess weight on her back anymore, rapidly began moving towards the deeper part of the ocean. Ao'nung didn't even try to hold his laughter back, gently patting his sister's shoulder before audibly mumbling "Good luck with those freaks." looking them in the eyes to make sure each of them could hear him loudly and clearly. It nearly took all of Mil'hō's self-control to not snap back at his companion to at least be gentle with them on their first day of training, but he did bite his tongue. Ao'nung was the oldest child and only son of Olo'eyektan after all, meaning he would most likely take over this title at some point in the future. Mil'hō knew better than to start fights with important Na'vi like him. Instead, he shared a friendly, supporting smile in direction of the brothers who were angrily baring their teeth at his friend at his side. The boy named Lo'ak let out what the Metkayinan boy could guess was supposed to be a hiss. It had a strange, growl-like tone to it. Before Ao'nung got the opportunity to insult him for this weird noise, his sister placed her hand on his chest, looking up at him sternly. "Don't you dare-..", a loud yowl echoed through the village before she could finish her warning. Mil'hō's ears flicked forward instantly, attempting to make out what might have happened, just as the large, dark metal machine broke through the clouds. It was more than obvious that it attempted to land on one of their docks. Naturally, the boys grabbed for their weapons, readying themselves to support their parents against whoever would emerge from that monster. "Sky people", a quiet voice sounded from behind Mil'hō, making him turn his neck for a moment to stare into the eyes of Sully's oldest son, Neteyam. All three Na'vi with dark blue features seemed far more nervous than the Metkayinan warriors felt. He immediately knew that couldn't mean anything good. His eyes narrowed a bit, before the clan's Tsahìk basically dragged his attention over to her. "Hide. Get back into your houses this instant. All of you!", she cut her son off, before Ao'nung even had the opportunity to raise his voice. "You... You brought it here!", her voice was merely a whisper, though it dripped of hatred, as she shoved her finger in the Sully's faces. Mil'hō would never directly disobey the orders of his Tsahìk, nodding in a well-behaved way, before silently following Tsireya and Ao'nung in the direction of their Marui Pod. They crouched deep in the shadows on their way, attempting to make out who was the reason for all of this distress. The young Na'vi was able to identify at least three Na'vi along with a couple of actual sky-people. They wore masks and looked just as they were described in the stories he used to hear about Jake Sully. He could feel his entire body tensing up at the sight of them. They couldn't even breathe their air but still managed to send a wave of terror through a village filled to the brim with powerful, trained warriors. They would have to take a turn right now to get to the siblings' Pod. They did, however, proceed straight ahead until they found a spot close by the dock to hide in relative safety. Mil'hō wouldn't deny being at least a little interested in what these people had to say, but when Ao'nung pointed out the Na'vi's weaponry, which they wore around their waists, chests, and on their backs, he nearly stumbled over the edge of the dock and would've gone straight down into the water. Instead, to steady himself, he stiffly grabbed onto the ground below him, the used down wood leaving splinters in his soft hands. From this close by, he was also able to properly count the support team gathered in a straight line behind the sky-people. It was made up of six tall, muscular-looking Na'vi. Each of them carrying a collection of weapons Mil'hō had never even laid eyes on before. His eyes widened in fright as he stared at them, leaning out of their hiding spot just a few inches at a time. They were taller than the warriors of his clan and had smaller waists, but muscular upper bodies. Their bodies appeared to be the same type as the Na'vi seeking refuge in their village. "We've been through this already. Now, where is Jake Sully hiding? We know he is somewhere nearby", he could hear a dark, rough voice speaking that nearly took the breath out of his lungs, sending shivers down his spine, even though he did not understand a word he was spitting out. Carefully pushing himself out of cover just a bit further he tried to take a glance at whoever had just given the Olo'eyektan orders. His gaze was met directly by a pair of piercing, yellow eyes, entirely different than the bright, almost icy blue, of his own. The young Na'vi tried his best to stay as quiet as possible, whilst still retreating behind their cover with a single, quick motion. Not even daring to breathe, he gestured for Ao'nung and Tsireya to stay absolutely silent. They were hidden deep in the shadows of the setting eclipse. Perhaps he hadn't even been noticed at all. His attempt to calm himself with this thought just brought back the image of the murderous glare he had been met with. He exhaled slowly, forcing his heart rate down when a strong pair of hands suddenly grabbed him by his shoulders and his neck and dragged him out of their hideout just a heartbeat later. From the corner of his eye, Mil'hō could see how two other armed Na'vi carried Tsireya and her brother toward the gathering at the end of the dock. An angry growl emerged from his throat, which just strengthened the grip the woman had on his neck, while he was being carried before his gathered clan together with the other two young Metkayina. He only felt a sudden pain in the back of his knee, to find himself on his sore knees, staring at the ground before him a heartbeat later. He could feel the tiny grains of sand being worked into the small cuts on his knees by his own weight, causing them to burn ever so slightly. "These don't belong to Sully", Mil'hō' froze as that voice from before reverberated through his entire body, not even wanting to properly look at that man's face anymore. He remembered the way he used to imagine Jake on a battlefield when he first heard the Na'vi's voice almost a week ago. He didn't picture this stranger in the same way. Whoever this was, he belonged onto a graveyard which he had entirely filled himself. Mil'hō's face twitched in pain, as his head was forced up through a rough jerk at his hair. He could make out his father's growl somewhere behind him, though now he couldn't look at anything except these yellow eyes that pierced right through him. He wasn't one of the children his man was looking for. He silently thanked Eywa for his luck. The young warrior most likely would've fallen deep into the dark pits of blank panic if there would have been any sign of recognition in the Na'vi's eyes. The boy was certain that this demon had turned rivers red with blood already and wouldn't bat an eye before doing it again. Deeply invested in his frightening, murderous imagination Mil'hō barely even noticed the entire conversation the leader of the clan was having with the man that had the same dark blue skin colour as their guests and was still holding his head up by his hair, though he wasn't staring down into his face anymore. The fear began gnawing at the defensive emotional walls, every warrior had to train to build up in their heads. This combined with the sheer pain he was in from having two people ruthlessly grab onto him in sensitive spots, caused his body to shake ever so slightly in the armed man's grip. "Fine. If you people are certain you don't know where Sully is hiding... it appears like we'll have to take a little something with us, to help your memory a bit", the man talked slowly, stuttering almost but in a language, the young Metkayina understood like his strange accent didn't just come from him originating from a different part of Pandora. Mil'hō let out a loud, painful growl as the man used the grip he had on his head to lift him from the ground almost effortlessly. This sharp but constant wave of pain brought burning tears to his bright blue eyes. Takyùn began yelling at Tonowari to do something about this and stop this madness, however, as the broadly built Na'vi folded his ears back and pointed his weapon at the intruders, the yellow-eyed devil simply pushed a cold piece of metal at the side of the young man's head. "You remember what it does mh? Get back. Behave", his voice was powerful enough to fill out the entire air around them, as he calmly spoke in his strange stuttering accent. The Olo'eyektan seemed to indeed recognize whatever was pointed at Mil'hō's head right now, pushing his father back into the rows, quietly whispering something to him. The tears now began running down his cheeks, leaving hot marks on his blue skin. "God I hate it when they do that", the was no way for him to make out what the words meant yet he felt the cold thing disappear from the side of his head, at least allowing the slightest bit of relief to spread inside him for a split second. He blinked a few times, his teeth still gritted in strained pain, to stare up at the huge figure holding him. He made an attempt to reach for the massive hand in his hair, which only made him harden his iron solid grip. "Don't get on my nerves now", he heard another growl, before suddenly a dull sensation of pain spread along his temple, distorting his vision so badly he groaned and pressed his eyes shut, welcoming the blunt darkness, taking him in with soft, open arms.
(Am I obsessed with the eyes they gave his Avatar??? Perhaps... Anyhow. I think there might actually be some type of action in the next chapter. Exciting! Now get down you horny fuck <3 Patience brings happiness or something like that)
