ELI

I wake from my slumber and I notice that its close to the afternoon. I notice that all I do now is sleep and eat. After Diggy left life is not as exciting and its very basic. I do my freshening up and I get Marcel changed into new clothes. Im so proud of him cause he's starting to stand. He hasn't got the walking yet but he can stand on his own now. I carry him downstairs and Rocky follows behind us to his food bowl. I put Marcel down and Im in shock to see my huge Christmas tree and decorations up. I look around my house in worry cause Im wondering who could have been in my house.

I see a note on the tree and I go over to read it. I see pretty cursive in it on this white card with gold around the rims. I open it and I see a small note.

"You know its not fair for anyone to be alone or presentless if thats the word on Christmas. So I hope you enjoy the decorations, gifts, and tree but just for another way to say goodbye, love you always. Sincerely Dallas." I read.

I pull out my phone and I go to Instagram and the first thing I see is a pic posted from two days ago. Another guy posted Diggy on his page.

My bookie @jetsetterDIGGY is leaving me...I miss him already💙💙

"He's moved on, he's never coming back." I think out loud.

I slightly smiled but I felt sad as I thought about him. I began to fall into sorrow until I heard the ring of the doorbell. I threw my phone on the couch and as I opened the door I saw a older black man putting a duffel bag at the door. Before I could ask him why he was at my door I saw a familiar figure getting out of the car.

I recognized his light skin and low cut and his slim physic. He turned and to my suprise it was my companion that I missed and thought about time and time again. He looked at the ground as he walked to the door.

"Well I hope everything goes well, just tell him how you feel. I wonder what his reaction will be?" The driver spoke.

I looked and I saw Diggy look at my blank face and he smiled slightly but that quickly turned to fear. He just looked at the driver as he pulled out his wallet.

"I dont think he's too happy to see me." Diggy's sweet voice flooded my ears.

"Well its okay, you dont even worry about the pay. You've been one of my best passengers so take care." The driver said as he started to pull off.

Diggy stood at the end of the driveway and slowly turned my direction. He took a deep breath and he slowly walked over to the door. He met me at the porch but slightly kept his distance.

"Um..h-hey Eli?" He spoke softly.

I longed to hear my name roll off his tongue. I gave a confused look at him because I didn't know how to feel.
