The Elite's headquarters was not a dream; it was standing right in front of Maya just as she had left it a few hours ago. It seemed to stand out more now that she was actually looking at the building, which made her wonder how they have gotten away with being right in the middle of the city for all these years. With only ten floors it is at least half the height of the buildings around it. Then it is two blocks long, where most buildings take maybe half a block this one is four times that, streets had to be cut off because of this monster of a building. The architect was very turn of the century with columns that resembled the Parthenon. Over the door were the scrolls carved into the stone ever so slightly that if you were not looking close enough you would miss the beauty. Inside the lobby was marble floors displaying a colorful scene of what she assumed were the Gods watching over earth. Everything she had missed for earlier this morning was now coming to life. Above the elevators was a mural of seven of the most beautiful women dancing.

Kal noticed Maya looking at the image above the elevators, "It's the seven sisters The Pleiades. They are the daughters of titan Atlas, history says they killed themselves and Zeus turned them into stars so they can be close to their father but that's not really what happened."

"What?" Maya asked, "History is wrong?"

With a little laugh Kal explained, "It's not completely wrong. Humans have part of ancient Greek history correct but they lack the imagination that it's all true. We are talking about Godly beings, why would they kill themselves over missing their father or Orion chasing after them. The sisters were nymphs, and not very nice ones at that, they seduced men and women to do some pretty horrible things."

"So they're not stars?" Maya was confused now.

"No, science is correct that stars are Suns Billions of light years away. The sisters are still around but they don't wreak as much havoc, Zeus told them he would banish them to Hades, make them help him with human souls. That's where we come in. We help monitor the Mytho world. The Gods are always too busy to keep and eye on the things they've created so we keep humans safe from them. It's not always monsters lurking in dark allies, sometimes it's stopping a child from jumping in front of a car because a Kobaloi wants to play a trick." Kal explained.

The elevator stopped at the third floor just as it did earlier, nothing seemed to have changed. People were just as busy as they were at 2 in the morning, Maya even recognized some of their faces. Jill was standing in front of a screen with symbols on it Maya didn't know them, she was moving those symbols around like trying to solve a puzzle. Jack was walking up carrying two mugs of what smelled like coffee, Bee and Jax were laughing at something as she sat on his lap.

"About time." Jill said when she saw them walking up.

Jack handed Jill one of the mugs and then gave one to Maya, "Looks like you need this more than me."

"Oh no I couldn't." Maya began to protest.

Jill rolled her eyes, "Just take it he's already had four any more caffeine and I'll have to shoot him."

"Have you guys been up all night?" Maya felt bad.

Jack looped his arm in hers, "No we all got like 3 hours of sleep."

"That's not a lot. I feel bad, it's all my fault." Maya wishes she could do something.

"It's not your fault," Jill said, "it's your parent's fault. Well more your father's then your mom's, he knew better."

Maya looked down at the cup in her hands, "Thank you Jack."

"No problem Love." He said, "Don't worry with our pure blood we don't need as much sleep as humans most of the time a good night's sleep is only four hours. Jill is always in a bad mood, sexually repressed. She just needs to get laid."
