Nick and y/n were hanging out in Nick's cabin when they heard sirens.

"What is that?" y/n wondered.

"I don't know."

Nick stood up from his bed and walked outside with y/n following. They saw a couple EMT's carrying Nurse Lane on a stretcher. The two of them watched them put Nurse Lane in the ambulance as Sheila and her posse walked up to Ziggy.

"Hey, witch. So sorry. I know you and Nurse Psycho were close. I guess you can visit her in jail now."

Ziggy glared at Sheila. "Fuck off, Sheila."

Sheila stepped closer to Ziggy. "By the way, you might want to check on your stuff. I think there was an accident in cabin five."

Ziggy looked at the three girls before running to her cabin.

"Hurry, witch! Run!" Sheila teased.

y/n watched as Ziggy ran past her and Nick.

"Hey, Nicky, y/n."

The two turned their heads to see one of their dad's friends approach them.

"Officer Kapinski." Nick greeted.

Officer Kapinski nodded at them. "Been meaning to say I'm sorry about your Pops. He was a good man. He was a great man. Taken too soon."

"Thank you. Yeah. We all miss him." y/n said.

"Big boots to fill." Nick added, referring to the fact that his dad wanted the two of them to join the police force.

(I'm not sure if women were allowed to be police officers back then but for the sake of the story just pretend they were.)

Officer Kapinski laughed. "Well, he was at peace, knowing one day you'd be following in his footsteps. Sheriff Nick Goode and Officer y/n Goode has a good ring to it." He looked at Nick. "You just go easy on me when you're my boss, huh?" He patted Nick on the shoulder before walking away.

The ambulance and two cop cars eventually drove away with all the counselors and campers watching.

"Hey, guys! Dinner time!" Kurt shouted as he rang a bell.

Everyone went to the mess hall for dinner while Nick and y/n and some other counselors went to go set up for Color War. Meanwhile Ziggy was in the arts and crafts center.

"What are you doing?" Cindy asked as she walked in.

Ziggy, who was trying to open a bucket of paint, looked up at her and rolled her eyes. "Art project."

Cindy walked over to Ziggy. "I need to talk to you.

"I'm not in the mood." Ziggy responded.

"Earlier, you said Mary was upset."

Ziggy scoffed. "Oh, so now you care!"

"Ziggy, this is serious." Cindy said.

"Yeah, well, it was serious earlier, and you didn't give a shit." Ziggy grabbed her bucket of paint and walked out of the arts and crafts center.

Cindy followed her. "Come on, you were the last person to see her before she snapped. What about drugs? Did you see any around?"

"She's a nurse, so yup." Ziggy said as if it were obvious.

"Well, did she mention anything or-"

"Nope." Ziggy cut her off.

"Ziggy, I'm just... I'm trying to understand what happened today." Cindy told her.
