It's been a week since that party .
And a week of seeing Ryan sir .

After that day I haven't seen Ryan sir in college, he wasn't even taking our lectures .
The last two of his lectures were taken by Ray mam .
Although I shouldn't be, but my subconscious was worried about him .
I wanted to see him for at least a second to know that he was fine .

I woke up quite late this morning as our final submission of thesis and assignments was going and I was busy the whole night working on it .

After brushing my teeth I walked down to see my mother .
My brain needed coffee.

"Mom" I shouted but she was busy on her phone .
She signalled me to sit, her face beaming with joy .

'who is so free to call this early in the morning'

I said taking a big bite of an apple .

"Inu" she said excitedly (or yelled) hanging up the call.
Now I don't need coffee anymore.
"They are coming to see you" she shouted .

Not again .

No offense guys I love my mom , but sometimes I want her to not disturb me , especially like this morning.

"Mom not now" I replied getting irritated.
I was turning twenty four in less than a month so there is nothing new that every month we are talking about my marriage and all those boys who were shortlisted by my parents .

"Mrs Cannon is coming today" She said neglecting my cranky mood.
"So what mo.."I stopped midway realising what she just said .
"Who is coming ?" I asked again getting up from my chair .

There is no way she was talking about Ryan sir's Mom.

"Mrs Cannon , Ryan's mom" she said enthusiastically .

Her eyes were glowing with happiness .

"Really, I mean why are they coming?" I asked again.

There must be some glitch in communication.

"I was talking to her and she liked you very much and she wanted to meet you..." She took a pause . I was stupified and staring her.

"And if you agree then she would love to see you as her daughter in law" she said and my eyes glued to her face .

Not in any universe this could be true .
Ryan sir would never agree with this .

Maybe I still need coffee .

"Are you sure she was talking about Ryan sir and did he actually agree?" I asked again .

My mom knew about my crush on him .
And after that party she has been constantly asking about him, about his family.
I was dampening her spirit by telling her that I Ryan sir would never like someone like me but today she got all green flags .

But I don't want to give false wings to my dreams until and unless I'm not sure about everything.

"Of course dear, why would she call me if his son wasn't ready" she replied .

"But mom ,he is my teacher and I know he wouldn't have agreed to something like this " I said thinking about all possibilities.

My brain still hasn't accepted this news .
This couldn't be true .

"Yeah! But you won't be his student after a month, you'll graduate from that university" I nodded, being uncertain about everything.

"We are not going to marry you off tomorrow, just meet him and know each other well" she replied but i didn't agree .
