Shut Down

Kai and Ben made their way through several hallways, looking for Taehyun, only to find nothing.

"Geez, how many doors are there?" Hueningkai whined. Ben giggled softly, amused by the other's his actions, and looked around.

"Maybe he is in a room similar to mine, where no one is allowed to go." He said, giving Hueningkai and idea.

"You're a genius! I remember another Hallway where lower level employees weren't supposed to go. Maybe let's try there!" He said, dragging Ben to said hallway.

"Okay, let's split up and check these rooms one by one." Kai said before they both went in two directions, trying to open doors and see if anyone was inside.

Taehyun sighed as he stared at the wall. He wanted to get out and be with his boyfriend or Kai. If only he wasn't trapped.

His thoughts were cut off when he heard voices outside the door.

"What if he's not in here?"

"Well it is the last door, so we have to try it."

He raised a brow and was about to walk to the door, but the door was burst opened, the lock falling off as his best friend and the AI were in front of him.

Taehyun gasped and ran towards them, hugging them tight.

"I'm so glad we finally found you, hyung! I was scared I'd never see my bestie again and I would have to rely on my memories of you until I grow old and die!" Kai said dramatically, while Taehyun rolled his eyes and smiled,

"Oh shut up." He said. Just then, two employees came down the hallway.

"Hey!! What are you doing here!??" One yelled, starting to run after them.

"Now's not the time for reunions!" Taehyun said, grabbing the two by the wrists and running away from the employees.

"Do you know where Beomgyu is?" Taehyun asked. Yes they were running for their lives, but he couldn't help but worry for the older.

"He went to his father's office. I don't know how long he'll take in there."

Taehyun nodded and looked foreword. As they turned the corner, Taehyun ran into someone and fell on the floor. He looked up and saw Beomgyu rubbing his head.

"Gyu!!" He said, standing up and hugging the male tightly.

"Im so glad you're okay Hyunnie bear." He said, kissing him softly.

"Guys, this isn't the time to be kissing!" Kai said worriedly as he looked down the hall to find the two employees had brought more people.

The other boys nodded and they started running again, but Taehyun realized one of them had stopped.

"Ben? What are you doing?" He asked quickly, seeing him standing there.

The AI smiled softly as he looked at Taehyun. "I'm going to stay back and give you guys some time to get out. Thank you for everything, Hyun, Mr. Beomgyu and Mr. Hueningkai. I will remember you all." He said.

Taehyun started tearing up. He didn't want to lose a friend. "But Ben! We have to go now!" He said as the employees rounded a corner.

Taehyun tried going to Ben, but he ran off, leading the employees toward him. Beomgyu quickly grabbed Taehyun's hand and dragged him down the hallway with Kai.

Taehyun wanted to go back, but he couldn't, because Beomgyu had a strong grip. All he could do was pray that Ben would be alright as they ran.

After leaving the lab, the three boys went back to Taehyun's apartment.

Beomgyu sat Taehyun on the couch, going to the kitchen to grab him a glass of water to calm him down. He sat next to him and hugged him close.

"It's going to be okay, Hyunnie. Ben will be alright, I promise." He said, rubbing his back gently. Taehyun cried into his shoulder as he gripped onto his shirt.

Hueningkai sat next to Taehyun on the other side and rubbed his belly to try comforting him. They were all sad about leaving the AI boy in the lab, but it was too late to go back now.

After a few minutes, Taehyun had fallen asleep and Beomgyu noticed. He very carefully picked him up bridal style and stood up. "I'm taking Hyunnie to bed. Are you going to stay in the guest room?" He asked quietly.

Kai thought about it before nodding. "I want to make sure he's okay in the morning. Goodnight hyung." He said before getting up and heading to the guest bedroom.

Beomgyu carried his boyfriend to Taehyun's room and laid him down on the bed. He changed both of them into pajamas before climbing in bed next to Taehyun. He pulled the younger close and held him tightly, giving him some warmth.

"Goodnight, baby." He said, kissing the boy's forehead before falling asleep as well.

Taehyun woke up sleepily, rubbing his eyes as he reached out for Beomgyu, only for him to not be in bed. He groaned before sitting up and getting out of his bed. He got dressed in a hoodie and shorts before heading out into the livingroom, where he saw Hueningkai watching TV.

He walked up behind him and pat his head. "Morning Ningning." He said with a yawn.

Hueningkai smiled and turned around to face him. "Morning hyung. Beomgyu hyung is in the kitchen." He said, which made Taehyun's eyes widen before running to the kitchen, expecting to find a huge mess, but only finding his boyfriend, carefully decorating pancakes on a plate.

"Oh, Hyunnie! You're awake!" Beomgyu said with a smile. "I made some pancakes for you. They're microwave pancakes, but it's the thought that counts, right?" He said, scratching the back of his neck.

Taehyun blinked before giggling softly and hugging Beomgyu. "Thank you, Beomie. I appreciate that you took the time to make this for me." He said softly.

Beomgyu smiled and kissed him on the forehead before putting the plate in front of him.

Taehyun smiled and grabbed the fork, eating his food happily.

"Hey! Hyungs, come see this!" Kai shouted from the livingroom.

The couple looked at each other and then  walked into the livingroom and looked at the TV, where the youngest was pointing.

On the TV was the news, and they saw the lab. It was burnt up and caution tape was all around it.

"Yesterday, the Choi INC. Laboratory was burnt down after a control panel somewhere in the building overheated and exploded. Several in progress inventions were lost in the fire and it is said that a new AI the lab was creating was lost and hasn't been located inside the building.

Founder Olaf Choi was arrested earlier for charges including human experimentation and illegal experimentation. His trial will be in a week and there will be witnesses called in."

Taehyun stared at the TV with his jaw wide open. He continued watching until Beomgyu changed the channel. He sighed softly and hugged Taehyun. "Looks like he's still alive since they haven't found him." Beomgyu said, rubbing Taehyun's back.

Taehyun shook his head and pulled back, looking at the older. "What about you? Are you okay that your father got arrested?" He asked, tilting his head. And Beomgyu nodded.

"I honestly don't care. He's paying for doing bad things like he should. I will probably have to testify against him at his trial, but it doesn't matter."

Taehyun nodded and laid his head on Beomgyu's shoulder.

"I love you Beomie."

"I love you too, baby."

Kai scrunched his nose as he watched the couple being all lovey lovey lovey dovey dovey dovey . "You guys make me wanna hurl." He stated, fake gaging before going back into the guest room.

Taehyun and Beomgyu laughed at that and just went back to hugging, enjoying each other's presence.
