Why are They Here?

The short blonde hummed softly as he typed away on his laptop, entering numbers and observations he collected from an experiment he did a few minutes ago.

Taehyun liked working at the lab because he could do whatever he wanted experiment wise as long as he cleaned his station up afterwards. It was always his dream to work at this specific lab because they were the most advanced and had the coolest things, such as zero gravity shoes, invisible cloaks, teleporting pads from floor to floor, etc.

However, there was only one rule in the entire building that everyone had to follow except the higher ups.

Do not open the blue metal door

Taehyun never understood why they weren't allowed to open that specific door located in the top floor, but he never questioned it because he knew the higher ups would just ignore him. Yes, he's tried asking before.

The boy sighed softly as he spun in his chair, now finished with his experiment. Taehyun was always the higher ups' favorite employee so they never gave him many experiments to do that he didn't want to do, but Taehyun did get bored sometimes. He was about to close his eyes to take a nap before a loud screech behind him was heard, causing him to jump out of his chair.

"Hueningkai! You can't just scream like that!! You almost made me pee my pants!" He explained as he stared at his friend and work buddy with wide eyes.

The younger black haired male bowed slightly in apology before smiling at the other. "Sorry Hyung, I just got excited since it finally got the wires in the right place hehe" he replied softly. Taehyun sighed softly and nodded.

"Right, just try not to do that again I don't want to be traumatized if I pee myself in front of everyone." the younger nodded and smiled at the other before continuing to built his little robot thing.

Taehyun turned around in his chair and was about to go back to nap before he heard gasps and whispers. When turning to see what everyone was whispering about, he saw a group at people in blue lab coats walking into the room, ignoring all of the other employees.

It was the higher ups. And they were walking straight towards Taehyun.

The young boy gulped as the group of people stopped in front of him, looking down at him as he stared at them in shock that they came to him. It was a rare occurrence that they came directly to the employees, so he was scared that he was in trouble for something.

A tall male in the front of the group gave the blonde a smile "hello Taehyun. Would you come with us, please?" He said in a gentle tone.

Taehyun snapped out of his thoughts and stood up, bowing immediately "of course, sir" he replied quickly, not wanting to be rude and disrespect one of the founders.

The older male hummed and turned around, starting to walk. Taehyun quickly followed, not missing the looks and whispers from the other employees he was getting. He gulped and only hoped that he wasn't in trouble. Not that he did anything that he would get in trouble for.
