Raivis finished chapter five, he stared at the blue sky's that were beginning to get covered with gray clouds.
'Rain is coming.' He concluded.
"Raivis! It's almost time to pick-up Toris from the hospital." Eduard shouted from downstairs.Raivis remembered that exciting call from the hospital. Toris's leg was still healing, but they said he can be discharged into their care. The drive was long but they arrived with no problems.
And there he was, outside being supported by a crutch and a nurse with a little smile on his face as they parked right in front of the building. Small drops rained down as the three friends shared this long awaited reunion.
"My goodness Raivis, you've grown up haven't you? How are you two?" Toris was smiling, but behind that smile was sorrow and pain, but love and happiness drowned out those feelings as they they hugged more.
"Better now that your home, is you leg okay?" Eduard look at his leg with utter worry.
"Oh, it's ok it'll heal in a few months don't worry about it."He slowly climbed his way into the front seat as the three friends drove their way back home.
"I see it hasn't changed much. Didn't you say there was a garden in the backyard?" Toris was slowly making his way to the front door as Eduard supported him, even though Toris was politely declining that he could do it.
"Mmhmm, it was Raivis's idea. He wanted to spend more time with you now that you're back. I believe the herbs have finished growing. Raivis still needs to to plant some more tomatoes and he still needs to plant eggplant."
Eduard felt Toris tense up in his arms.
"Are you alright, was it something I said?"
"Oh, no. You just said tomatoes, my wingman was Italian and loved talking about food, mainly Italian cuisine, and he had bad temper but he was the greatest wingman I ever had." He said with sad eyes.
"Where is he now?"
"I think he's in a hospital in California, I believe he lives there with his brother and grandfather."
He nodded and helped him up the stairs to his old room.
"We made sure it was clean, but we never touched it ever since."Toris sat on the bed and took in the warm smell of mint and lavender in the air. The clothes in his dresser still fit him, surprisingly, on top were pictures of the three when they were younger. The rain outside drizzled but didn't fall hard, 'it'll probably rain all week.' Toris frowned as he sat on the bed again and turned to face Eduard.
"Eduard?"
"Hm?"
"Do you have any eggplant or tomato seeds planted yet?"He shook his head.
"We only planted the tomatoes, we didn't have time to pick up eggplant seeds."
Toris only nodded, "alright then, I'll take Raivis tomorrow to get some."
Eduard at him with slight worry in his face.
"Are you sure that's a good idea? You just got home and you leg is injured."
He waved at him. "Oh relax yourself I'm fine, and besides I want to spend more time with Raivis and you as well."Eduard groaned inside, there was no stopping Toris when he wants to do something important."
"Alright, but if you get hurt that's on you."Dinner was quiet, with the exception of Toris and Eduard talking. Raivis wasn't paying attention, it didn't really matter.
Raivis readied himself for bed, he was sitting in his nook watching the rain while also reading his book.'Knock, knock, knock'
"Raivis are you awake?"
It was Toris.
"Mmhmm."
The door opened and Toris limped his way and sat on the bed.
"Can't sleep, kiddo?"
He shrugged his shoulders, "I guess."
"Come lay down with me, we both need sleep."
Raivis smiled, it has been a long time since they both slept together.
Toris's arms were warm, and full of comfort.
They both slept soundly that night.Awaiting for the next day.
