Xavier gets sick and Wednesday is panicked. Enid is doing her best and Ajax is just doing his best to go along with whatever shenanigans happen.
It was raining in nevermore academy, once again. It had been raining straight for almost the whole week Larissa postpones all classes within nevermore and forbids students from leaving campus or the dorms if unnecessary, due to the storm.
Xavier however was worried that his art hut might get flooded. And so, despite it raining heavily and how strong the winds are getting he needed to make sure his supplies were all safe.
I mean have you seen prices for good gouache, or oil-based paint or oil pastels or canvases, or his colored pencils? They're all expensive and he doesn't want to have to look for replacements. Some of the brands have stopped manufacturing and some of them were just way too hard to get the first time.
Xavier and Ajax are in their room with Wednesday. Wednesday was just relaxing there on Xavier's bed with him, resting her head on his chest as he just lays there. He gently pulled away from Wednesday, making her look at him as he stood up and went towards the window, he looked around the school grounds, with clear concern written all over his face.
Xavier went to grab an empty bag, making Ajax look at him with concern "where do you think you're going? In that weather?" He said as Xavier sat down to put on his boots.
"Why shouldn't he go outside with this weather? At already quite a rare occurrence, a lovely day such as this one?" Wednesday said looking at Ajax.
"Lovely day? Today? It's storming Wednesday! Didn't you see Principal Weems's announcement? Not to go out today?" Ajax Said "or Enid's new post on her blog?"
"I am well aware that it's storming Ajax, what kind of idiot do you think I am?" Wednesday said crossing her arms. "As I said, it's a rare occurrence, it's usually so sunny around here, if I'm lucky some clouds make appearances," she added in a matter-of-fact tone. "Have you never gone out in weather like this before? What kind of childhood did you have?" she said with a degree of pity present in the tone of her voice.
"I had a fairly great childhood thanks, I've heard of playing in the rain but never have I thought of running out while it's storming out. And again Xavier no, it's just art supplies! You don't have to go" He said trying to convince the two of them to just stay inside until Enid returns with the hot beverage she informed them earlier she was going to make for everyone and the update from principal Weems for her blog, that is doing a broadcast for the storm.
Despite the warnings from Ajax, Xavier ran out of the room. Wednesday watched him leave then she looked back at Ajax. "Well... I umm-- I'll go check up on Enid, she's been taking an eternity making whatever hot beverage it was that she's making," she said running out of the room as well before Ajax can say anything more.
Ajax sighed as he laid back on the bed, five minutes later he was contemplating whether to go after Xavier or to text Enid when she would be returning.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when there were steady knocks on the door "Guys, help. . .the trays too heavy" came Enid's voice. He rushed to open the door, "Enid!" He smiled happily but noticed that Wednesday wasn't there, he takes the tray from Enid "where's Wednesday? She said she'd come to get you" he put the tray down on Xavier's desk.
"I don't know, I didn't see her making my way here," Enid said scratching her head a bit as she thinks about it. She walks into the room and was about to sit down and her gaze went to the window for a split second.
