Chapter 13

Raiden pov (3 weeks later)
I duck under Neji's arm and trying to swipe his legs out from under his but as I expected he dodges easily.

He let's out a huff, "Okay what is up with you ever since you got back from that mission you've been off." I smile jokingly, "Careful Neji I might think you actually care about me." I dodge his advances laughing, "Don't get the wrong idea your just the only one our age who gives me a real challenge. And I won't get much out of this spar if your heads not in it."

I move on the offensive, "I wouldn't count Lee out just yet, if your not careful he will surpass you. Talent is worthless if you don't put in the work to hone it."

Using my speed I manage to get in Neji's blind spot which is extremely hard considering he has the byakugan. I tap the back of his neck, "He'll kick your ass and when that happens I'll be cheering him on." He grumbles moving away from me, "Fate is on my side Raiden, that will not happen."

I hum, "You really need to let go of that fate crap, anyway do you think Guy-sensei will let us participate in these Chunin exams?"

"He will, we are more than ready."

Before could say anything else I hear a screech of a falcon. I hold my fist out, "See you later." His fist bumps my own, "Go it could be something important." I sigh teleporting outside grandpa's office and pause for a second.

"Inazuma do you think I should tell him about this fake Madara?" He doesn't say anything at first, "Yea go ahead brat because that supposed Madara will come back. And its better to at least let someone know what's going on if anything goes wrong." Finally I knock on the door, "Come in Raiden." His voice calls threw the door, I push the door open picking up on the four anbu members hidden in the shadows.

"You wanted to see me?" Papers rustle for a moment, "I'm sure you're aware the Chunin Exams are coming up, yes." I scoff slightly, "Of course I don't live under a rock." He sighs in response, "Well the rules state only teams of three are allowed to participate. But I've spoken to your sensei he feels you are more than capable of taking the exams on your own. Come closer please."

I do as he ask hearing his chair squeak slightly, his hand gently grabbing my own. My fingers curl around a piece of paper, "Should you choose to participate to to room 301 at the academy two days from now." I grin widely, "Yes! Just you watch Grandpa I'll become a Chunin."

He chuckles, "I have no doubt you will Raiden, you are powerful and smart for your age. Now go I'm sure Konohamaru and your Kaasan would like to Hear of this." I don't move holding the paper close to my chest, "Actually Grandpa I wasn't wanting to have a word with you.....alone." Not a moment later his chakra spreads threw the room and the anbu leave as the silencing seals activate around the room. Once I'm sure no one can hear us I speak, "Back during the mission I went on with Team 7 and I was training alone. I was approached by a man, he uh claims to be Madara Uchiha."

The tension in the room rises, "And what did this man want?" I could hear the hostility in his voice, "He claims to be the leader of this organization called the Akatsuki. There objective is supposed world peace and he believe's because I hold Inazuma that I can get them closer to there goal."

I hesitate for a moment, "He also mentioned that Itachi-sensei is apart of this group..." Its quiet for a moment, "What I'm about to tell you cannot and will not be mentioned again is that understood Raiden."

"H-Hai, i wont tell anyone."

"Then listen well, this is the truth behind the Uchiha massacre and the sacrifice made by Itachi Uchiha."

(Small timeskip)

Once Grandpa finishes the story I stand there frozen in shock. T-those last few days with Itachi-sensei I knew something was off but I didn't expect this!

Inazuma whistles, "Damnnnn the weasel got fucked over." I ignore him, "Why are you telling me this?" He doesn't say anything at first, "I am ordering you as Hokage and not your Grandfather to except Madara's offer and join the akatsuki to spy from within along side your former sensei.". My jaw drops in disbelief, "WHAT THE HELL! YOU CANT BE SERIOUS!"

"Im sorry Raiden but as Hokage I have to do what's best for the village first and foremost. This organization is a possible threat to us in the future. We are going to need all the information we can get." I let out a bitter laugh as he releases the seals, "I don't know why I'm so surprised its nothing new." I put my hands in my jacket pocket and head towards the door. Opening it I pause in the doorway, "Village before family right Lord Third."

I close the door behind me before he could say anything else and make my way out of the Hokage building. Keeping my head down I make my way to the small Sarutobi clan compound. Once there I head straight to the clan burial ground counting my steps as I go.

Knowing I'm at the right spot, I sit on the ground. Pulling my headband down letting it rest around my neck.

"Hey Touchan sorry I haven't visited you in awhile things have been kind of crazy." I rub the back of my neck smiling sheepishly, "I know that's no excuse, I'll try to come by more often. Like I promised Kaachan and konohamaru are safe. Konohamaru is a little trouble maker at the academy but don't worry I make sure he keeps up with his studies. Oh and I finally spoke with Sakura about my little friend down there and she didn't push me away or freak out which is a relief. You know I was scared of that, and I'm taking the Chunin Exams this year. Except I'm taking them by myself since teams of three are normally only allowed to participate. Your probably wondering why Enji isn't with me and that's because King Enma has picked up his training....."

My eyes begin to water and I clinch my jaw, "T-Things they um have gotten a little complicated for me. And the things I'm going to have to do in the future...." I trail off talking a deep breath trying to get my emotions in check.

"I know for a fact are going to disappoint you and everyone I care about will consider me a traitor. But the only reason I'm really doing this is to protect Konohamaru, Kaachan and Uncle Asuma even if they hate me till the day I die." I wipe my eyes, fix my headband and stand up dusting off my pants.

I kiss my finger tips and place it against the cold stone, "Please give me the strength to overcome whatever comes my way Touchan. And when I'm forced to leave watch overtime family. I have to go meet my team now, I love and miss you." With a heavy heart I slowly make my way to training ground 13. Once there I dodge Lee's attack, "Lee you've got to stop attacking Raiden every time you see her!" Tenten shouts, "But Tenten as Raiden's youthful rival I have a duty to keep her on her toes!" Lee shouts happily probably striking his pose Tenten has described to me before.

"Would you two keep it down, and Raiden your late." I smirk lazily, "Relax Neji, Guy-sensei isn't even hear yet. And Tenten you know arguing with Lee isn't going to get anywhere." She groans in response, "I know but this is getting out of hand, I will not be banned from another team shop!"

I snicker in response earning myself a light slap in the shoulder from Tenten.

"Raiden I challenge you to a push-up contest until Guy-sensei gets here!"

"Prepare to lose youthfully Lee!"

"Why are you two like this?"

"You should be use to there idiotic behavior by now Tenten."
