Once upon a Ben

Ben and Rook stare across the mysterious luminous sign that reads "story rook. "Hmm, just thought about it, a little weird for a town name huh?" Ben says to Rook when suddenly as if out of nowhere a wolf appears out of the blue surprising them both in a panic. They stop dead in the tracks as Ben's hand hovers over his watch. The wolf growls and inches closer " Um Ben now a time to use the watch" "Right" he says as he pats down one of the aliens with four muscled arms. A green electric glow as if powered by magic appears surrounding them for a split second. "Ben?"Rook says politely fearing for his life "Why are you still human?"

 "I have no clue, I think it got busted in the jump," he says earning a scared look from his partner "Why don't you use the proto tool?" I must have left it before the portal" "Ah, gotcha one more thing" Ben says cautiously and calmly "Ruuuuuuun" They both bolt out of the town edge towards the city. One means of escaping is being extinguished. Bad they ran out of the forest Ben noticed something odd he was a lot stronger and had a ton of stamina now, almost all a superhuman degree. He should tell Rook this change yet he felt this wasn't the time since there running for their life from a crazed wolf on the loose.

 
As the town buzzes and booms with chatter here and there, this piece is interrupted by a running screaming ben followed by a Frantic yet quiet Rook, both equally running for their life. As this takes place a lone Henry is sitting on a park bench table by his school watching this scene. "Let's go to the local authorities" Rook started in between breaths "Agreed," Ben said equally as tired.  They notice the little boy sitting while reading a book titled Fairy Tales or along those lines, he was starting to test them curiously between pages. "Excuse me" Rook stated as the walked towards him "Can we ask you something real quick? I'm not supposed to talk to you guys since you're strangers" Ben chuckled at this, noting how strange they looked at this situation. "Alright, then can you listen?" Ben says almost urgently gaining Henry's attention, he nods to this allowing them to continue 

"my name is Ben and this is my bud Rook, we just got here on vacation" Henry was taken aback because his mother could tell they were lying about their story, he wasn't sure he could trust them just yet Ben sighed breathing deeply getting ready for what he was about to say next " we just tried to leave but" this immediately got the kids attention as his eyes light up in anticipation and knowing " it sounds crazy but we saw this... Wolf pop kit of know where" the kid looked shocked but again it was as if he knew something. Just as the kid was about to speak a pale almost done white second teacher came out from the door, she wore a white shirt, a brown coat, and blue jeans, she had a vibrant smile that matched her blue eyes. She walked towards them "Hey Henry, wanna play inside for recess"

 " but you said you'd let me read my book out here," Henry said with a slight frown. "How about you read that book inside huh," she said as Henry slowly got up and walked inside the school play area with his nook in hand. Once the door shut she dropped her smile and began " I saw you guys at the dinner earlier what are you doing here?" she then spoke quietly in realization "Are you stalking Henry?" "nope!, no we aren't," they say frantically "Then explain," she says as she slowly squints her eyes. "Alright," ben declares "Rook, tell her," Ben says as Rook roles his "We believe we saw a wolf, it almost attacked as we tried to leave town on foot" Mary opened her eyes wide in surprise, a flashback in her mind, about Emma sawing the same thing as she tried to drive out, they checked it up to hallucinations.

 "You know what this means, don't you say slowly". "Sorry I got nothing," she said back to them withholding something, the school bell rang filling the air left in right with a persistent ding "I gotta get back to class, recess is over" She walked back and shut the school back door. "Well that's interesting, why would she lie to us?" Ben said aloud to Rook "Maybe she was frightened by a wolf nearby" "Hmm, no there's something more, she isn't telling us something important" "Well she doesn't trust us," Rook said flatly. "Hey" Ben spoke in a high almost secretive voice "Hmm?" Rook said back "Don't you think it was a little too much of a coincidence, you know for a wolf to show up and almost attack us just as we almost leave" "you think it was planned by the townspeople" "we'll I don't wanna jump to conclusions but it is a bit to perfect a wolf shows up just as we're about to leave the town border"

 "maybe we should do some more investigation on the matter" "Nah, that won't get us anywhere, I think we should make some friends first," Ben says with a smile as Rook looks at him with a perplexed and puzzled look. " another thing" Ben said getting his partners attention "remember when you were running from your life from the crazy wolf " you mean we?" Rook continued "I, we, we're a team," Ben said Rook eyed ben "Fine when we were running from the crazy wolf my Omnitrix malfunctioned or something" Yes I'm aware of this fact," Rook said "Well don't think it failed". Rook at this point looked at Ben as if he were crazy, more than usual "Here me out, I think this place is affecting the watch" As he said this Rook thought for a moment "That would explain a lot"
