Chapter 6

Enrique's POV

Pa-akyat na ako sa classroom.

May pinakuha kasi saken yung teacher ko sa Filipino na libro sa library.

Napadaan din ako sa gym namin.

May nakita akong nakadikit dun sa announcement board. Kaya naman naglakad ako papunta dun at binasa yung nakalagay.

Announcement to all students:

There will be a tryouts for Volleyball next week on July 4,20**, 5-6 pm. If you are interested to join, please go to Mr. Rohn Reyes in Room #2. Just talk to him that you wanted to join the Volleyball tryouts and he will give you a slip. You need to give it to your parents and make sure that they know you're having a tryout.

What to wear:

1. It's not a fashion show! I know you want to look good but don't focus on what you are wearing too much.

2. Knee pads. Knee pads are such a must girls! You've just go to have them. They are such a must for volleyball especially if you plan on playing back row positions.

3. Spandex. Don't go buy spandex if you have them already, because they can be a bit pricey. But if you don't have spandex, it's not a big deal. Wear some plain colored soffe shorts. Not basketball shorts! And running shorts are better than basketball shorts.

4. Shirt. Okay, so you want your shirt to be bright and stand out. Most girls that had prior volleyball experience will wear a camp t-shirt or a volleyball shirt of some kind, to show that they are experienced. If you don't have one, wear a bright shirt. Maybe with your school's logo on it.

5. Put your hair up! Cute, messy, and side buns are cute. High ponytails, french braids, fishtails braids, or whatever. It doesn't matter, just make sure all your fly away hairs are put up by a hair tie and headband.

6. Bring two water bottles. You'll need it!

7. Bring your physical form as well. You can't tryout without one on file.

8. Socks crew or high knee socks work fine. Some people think you are trying too hard with knee high socks though, try crew or even ankle socks for the first day.

9. Shoes. No basketball shoes, sperry shoes, sunucks, vans, converse, or whatever. Try running shoes or volleyball shoes.

At last. Meron na ulit. Maka-kuha nga kay Sir Rohn mamayang dismissal. Umalis na ako dun, baka kasi tanungin ako ng teacher ko kung bakit ang tagal ko.

Inabot ko na yung libro sabay lakad papunta sa upuan ko.

Nakita ko naman si Julia na may hawak na.. Slip? Yun yung slip para sa volleyball tryout ah?

Sasali siya?

Okay. Alam ko naman na magaling din siya dun. MVP Princess nga siya diba? So, which means?

Parehas na kaming MVP dito?

Shit. Hindi pwede. Kahit kaibigan ko si Julia, hindi ako papayag na makuha niya ang pwesto ko sa pagiging MVP.

Julia's POV

"Juls, mukhang excited ka na mamaya ah!" -Nadz

"Of course! Panibagong tryout nanaman to oh! At sana maging player ulit ako ng VBall dito!"
