42. Luber Is Back?

Zedd came flying like a superhero and pushed that horrifying supernatural creature. Like a feather flies off in the air, it flew away and crashed harshly on a giant tree trunk. My eyes squeezed shut and my palms came up hiding my face as the sound of breaking bones reached my ears. To his misery, some branches and dusty leaves fell on him. My heart thumped in my throat as trepidation crawled to me. My eyes started to water as I couldn't take it the way that creature howled in pain. The crash was visibly painful.

The awful silence told me it had fainted. I glanced at Zedd breathing heavily in anger. He was ready to attract if that wolf made any move. It wasn't moving at all. Is it Dead? Should we go near and check? I glanced again at Zedd and it was still glaring at the wolf. No, I had no guts to go near him to be sure.

Zedd came and stood near me like a beast which he really was. I sat up even tho it pained in my back and hugged him, more like squeezed him tightly. I don't know what would have happened if he wouldn't save me.

"Are you alright?"

I asked him softly holding his huge hairy head and caressing him at the same time. His hair was so soft and silky.

He nodded slightly and his sticky long tongue licked my palms.

I smiled at him and patted his head.

I flinched hearing the wolf grunt in its throat making us aware that he wasn't dead and it wasn't yet over.
I was too happy too soon. We turned to look at it. Getting up it growled in anger. His eyes were really scary the way he stared. It turned its head towards me specifically indicating I was his prey. Its malicious grey orbs bore into my skin with so much hatred as if I was cheating with its lover.

I got goosebumps out of terror and my palms started to sweat.

I looked at Zedd as he stood tall near me all pissed and ready to attract. More like murder.

Zedd is here. I don't have anything to fear. He's going to protect me. Don't be scared. Don't. He's here.

I chant to myself to calm myself. I didn't know what else to do. I had never in my life getting into a fight with even a dog. After once watching my friend getting bitten by her dog in childhood I was scared enough to ever go near an unknown dog. It still haunted me how she had to go get all those injections. I didn't imagine I was going to get bitten by a wolf-like this.

My life was so happy and content until all these supernatural creatures decided to jump in. Who knew I was going to die by getting bitten by a werewolf in a jungle of- I have no idea what part of the earth.

I was doomed.

Zedd growled dangerously and his fangs grew out. He jumped on the wolf and fought to dig his dangerous fangs and sharp nails into his skin but the black wolf was giving him a tough fight. It rolled over Zedd and his fangs came out to bite him.

"No!" I screamed in fear.

Before that wolf could do anything Zedd attacked his neck. That wolf wailed loudly. He won't let his neck go as if he had found his favourite part of the meat, he was savouring the taste and taking all the time to torture him.

Was he drinking his blood?

Ew! No, please! I looked away for a moment to settle myself but my gaze went back at him sucking his life out of his body.

Zedd's mouth was all bloody. It looked nasty. I was shaking and terrified. I wanted to run away but at the same time, it was just him who can keep me safe in a place filled with creatures like such.
