"How was your meeting?" I asked walking towards Colby.

"Not exactly memorable." He sighed.

"Sorry to hear that." I said. Colby clears his throat.

"Your key card y/n." He said handing it to me.

"Oh yeah." I said looking for my key card, when I finally found it, I unlocked the doors. Colby smiled.

"Now..how about we make the rest of the evening memorable?" He asked looking at me.

Two hours later

I put down my fork on the almost empty plate and sigh with content.

"This restaurant is amazing, I've never been to anything like this before" I said smiling. Colby's friend, Jake, stops with his fork midway to his mouth.

"Colby, you'd never taken your beautiful assistant to a fancy restaurant before?" Jake said looking at Colby.

"Why would I?, I never take my staff out for dinner, some of them might get the wrong idea." He said.

"I think they would like you a bit more if you did." Jake said.

"I don't care if they like me or not, they do their work, and I pay them, I don't mix business with pleasure." Colby said.

Wow, such a good guy.

"Whatever you say men." Jake said.

"You two have any plans after the dinner?" I finally spoke.

"Actually, yes, Jake and I will be hitting the casino." Colby said.

"That's nice, I'm lucky myself tho." I said, Colby looked at me in interest.

"Oh is that so?" He asked.

"Well I managed to keep my job for over a month, so I'd say so." I said smiling.

"Alright, let's test that theory then." He said smiling at me. The tone of his voice is testing.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"How about you act as my lucky charm tonight?, with you by my side, I can't lose, right?" He said. I mull over his offers and his eyes burn my skin.

"I don't think so, I'm really tired, I think I'm just going to head to my room." I said. There's a hint of disappointment, but it quickly disappears.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." He said.

"Yeah, good night." I said getting up.

"Night." He said.

The next morning

I cheerfully approach Colby as we're checking out.

"Morning." I said smiling. Colby sighs heavily and turns to me.

He looks awful, Is he hungover?
I don't remember his drinking that much yesterday.

Instead of answering, he scoffs and rolls his eyes.

Wow, rude.

"So, uh, here's your plain ticket." I said handing it to him. He snatched the ticket out of my hand.

"Colby, are you okay?" I asked worriedly.

"No, I'm not okay, I've got a headache and you're making it worse." He sounded angry.

Okay..someone woke on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Some hours later

The plain ride was awful. Colby didn't say a word to me- he just kept grunting. When we landed, I couldn't wait to get home and away from Colby. I could only hope that tomorrow he'd be in a better mood.
