Colby smiles at me and holds out his hand to the woman in front of us.

"y/n, this is Bunny, the most important person in my life." Bunny scoffs and rolls her eyes.

"Colby, please, your wife should be the most important person in your life, or is there a trouble in paradise already?" I obviously look taken aback, because Colby hurries to change the subject.

"Do you need any help with your bags?" He asked.

"Do I look like I need any help?" She asked.

"Umm..no?" He said.

"Damn right I don't. I've carried them all the way here by myself, I think I can manage to get them to guest room." Bunny grabs her suitcases and leaves in a huff.

"Um, who is she once again?" I asked.

"That's Bunny, she's my grandma." My eyebrows shoot up in surprise.

She looks young enough to be his mother.

"You look shocked." He said.

"She look like she's in her forties. Fifties at most." I said.

"She had a lot of plastic surgery." Before I can answer, Bunny comes back, scowling.

"God, you wouldn't believe the day I had." She started.

"I had to sit next to someone with peanut allergies on the plain, so I couldn't eat my nuts! And the food they served was practically made for dogs!" She yelled.

"Gran, I'm sure it wasn't-" She interrupted him.

"Then some woman stole my cab right in front of my nose! If I had an umbrella, I would have hit her where it hurts!" She was pissed.

"That sounds awful. You must be very hungry then." I finally said.

"I'm starving! You better have something edible in this place." She said.

"y/n and I just ordered food." Colby said.

"There should be enough for all three of us." He said, then there was a knock in the door.

"That must be the food, I'll get it. Why don't you guys take a seat at the dinner table?"

One hour later

I can't believe her

My phone vibrates in my pocket. I pick it up and saw a text from Kat.

"Hey girl, what are you doing?" It says.

"I'm trying hard not to lose it." I typed.

"Why?????" She said.

"What's going on??" She added.

"Colby's grandma came over tonight, she's the most unpleasant person I've ever met. She complained about EVERYTHING! The food was too cold, the water was too warm, the silverware wasn't shiny enough.. you get it right?" I said.

"Yikes, sounds like a real peace of work." She said.

"No kidding." I said.

"I was trying really hard all evening, but no matter what I said or did, she just sneered at me." I added.

"Maybe it wasn't you?" She said.

"I mean, maybe she just had a bad day." Kat added.

"No, she definitely doesn't like me." I said.

"That can't be true." Kat says.

"You're the most likable person i know." She said putting a smiley at the end.
