Chapter 18

BLAKE'S POV

JJ and Hotch just took Spencer Reid away so the rest of us stayed back to try and make sense of all the chaos in the apartment we start to comb tough file look at maps but all the information is just to much to process especially when we have no idea what were looking for as I was picking up some files from a table when I notice a flashing red light I pick up another piece of paper and see it's an answering machine with a message on it a press play and I hear a voice that sounds somewhat familiar but I can't put a face to the voice "Spencer I looked into Matthew Donaldson for you and his record like all the others has been wiped clean I mean I don't have the skills to go deeper and find more but I'm sure that his record will be along the same lines as the ones we've found ok Spencer call me at the usual time" then the message ended I was about to call out to the others when I heard the front door open in walked Hotch, JJ and Reid everyone immediately came into the room all with surprise written on all of their faces clearly because they had brought him back he walked past everyone and up to me I stepped aside and he looked to the answering machine he then turned to me "Did you play the message?" a bit perplexed I answer "Yeah I did"

"I need you tell me exactly what she said in the message"

"I can't repeat it word for word but she said that she couldn't find any record on Matthew Donaldson and that she didn't have the skill to go deeper and she wants you to call her at the usual time" he sighed and stated to pace back and forth until Hotch finally spoke up "Spencer you told us that you would tell us everything once we got here" he went back to pacing and said "Yeah, Yeah just give me a minute to think" again the room was silent and everyone was just staring a him suddenly he stopped "JJ I need your phone"

"What, Why?"

"Because if I call on my phone then she won't pick up because she will assume that it isn't me" again Hotch spoke up "Who Spencer, Who is helping you"

"And why would she respond to my phone"

"I was hoping for your permission but I really don't have time" he took a phone out of his pocket and started to go though the contacts list "I thought you said that she wouldn't answer to your phone" he looked up a JJ and smiled "This is yours" and went back to scrolling though the contacts and JJ instantly searched though her pockets to find it but of course it wasn't there "When did you take..." But she was cut off by Spencer "When you arrested me" he then put the phone on speaker on his hand it rung twice before they heard a voice that they all recognised.
