Flashback The umbrella academy household 10 years old, April 19xx
It was a cool night, but really quite in the Hargreeves household. The seven children were in bed early as they have a early training to do the next day. It was passing 12am. Five is still wide eyed not feeling tired or the need to go to bed, but he has to follow the rules.
He let out a quiet sigh as he glanced at his clock on his nightstand. ' its 12:30am, and I'm still not tired...' Five eyed the clocked as he still hears the ticking sounds of the clock. clicked his tongue in announcing. Then he glanced to the picture frame beside it, it was a picture of Five and Kimberly both smiling and hanging out as Kimberly took the photo. Five let out a quiet sigh, lips press together in a thin line. He haven't heard his best friend about couple days as she always calls him, which he starts to get worried about her. ' where are you, princess...'
Knock. Knock.
He heard a light knock on his window. Turned over a little bit glanced over which got him surprise by a appearance. " princess." He spoke in a low soft whisper yet surprised and happy to see her. She waved a little by his reaction of surprise.
Five looked over to the door hopefully Reginald, pogo or grace don't come to his room. He got off his bed slowly walked to his window quietly. He opened it facing his best friend, and a long time crush. His heart started racing as he even felt butterflies in his stomach. He whispered to her quite enough just for them both to hear. " Kimberly, what are--... What happened?" Five move aside for her to come inside.
Kimberly let out a light chuckled by seeing his reaction. She gave him a sarcastic reply. " hello to you too, Fivey. " she give him a hug, which he received it back to her.
Five made a face, shook his head. " okay, okay, Kim. Now, what happened I have not heard from you in days."
Kimberly played with her fingers, knowing how upset Five is. " I was grounded. My Mom took my phone prevliges away, after I was caught cheating on my test. " Kimberly sat on his bed.
Five raise an eyebrow, points to her. As he does not believe that. " you? Cheating on a test. Hard to believe since you are also the smartest person I know would not cheat."
Kimberly made a face, " we both are homeschooled. And I kept arguing with my parents if I can go to a " normal" school that has a normal life."
" but princess, you know... we can't do that. I mean— I hate to say it but we are technically not normal."
Kimberly nod her head as she sat on the bed, " yes, yes, I know that. I mean, it's very complicated."
