Chapter 1 Where am I? Who are you?

Evelyn POV:

Sunshine greeted me as I opened my eyes slowly. 

Huh? Didn't I unfortunately die yesterday? I walked across the street and got hit by a car. With my mind full of confusion, I sat up and took a look around me. 

Ah? WHERE AM I? Lush green trees, a clear steam, some nice flowers and birds. 

I'm in a forest? A branch cracked behind me. I jumped to my feet, ready to attack. At least the years of my cruel martial arts training didn't go to waste, I thought to myself. Dad, Mom, this daughter is thankful that you dragged me up at 5:00 am in the morning to practice martial arts! 

A large figure approached me, it was a snake. 

Snake! Big animal! How to stop it? Scare it, right? I don't want to die! Or die again. I added to myself. Okay, make myself look big and scare it away. Good plan. I told myself and mentally patted myself on the back. I closed my eyes and tucked in a breath.

They didn't tell us how to scare away snakes!!! I screamed internally.

Bang! I yelped and closed my eyes.

"Female? Why are you here all alone? Where are your males?"

 My eyes shot open. A human-wait no- a tall human with Leopard ears and tail with kind light blue eyes stared at me with worry, waiting for my to rely. 

Ah? Where was the Leopard? You in the world it that person? With my mind spinning width a thousand questions, one stood out particularly.  

"Female?" The part Leopard worriedly ask again. 

I stared awkwardly at him.

"Oh, sorry. Are you hurt? Why are you here alone?"

No, I'm perfectly fine!  I though sarcastically in my mind. 

"Uh...I don't know..." My voice trailed off. 

"Where are your males?"

"I don't have any?" I offered him a statement with the tone of a question.

"My name's Harvey. I'm from the Leopard clan. What's your name?" 

"I'm Evelyn." 

"Evelyn, would you like to come back to my village?"

"I guess sure?" 

Wait, Harvey, I know that name! No, he isn't the boy who I gave a black eye to in first grade for pulling my hair. I can't even remember that guy's name. Was it David or something? Wait! Isn't Havery the healer in the webtoon Beasty and the Beasties? I traveled to that world? 

Harvey lowered himself and allowed me to get on his back. On the road, my mind was filled with questions.
