Evelyn POV

It was the 3rd month of our travel to the Beast City with the travel group. On the way, both Harvey and Curtis are "catching up" with each other. In other words, testing each other's strength. Although Harvey was not able to earn stripes, his strength is surprisingly equal to Curtis.

"Is this your way of catching up? Beating each other up?" I asked as they showed up with wounds and bruises for God knows which millionth time.

They sheepish grinned before presenting me a bag of green crystals and chicken or wild bird as they call it.

"Chicken! Chicken! Chicken! We're eating chicken tonight!" I twirled around, thinking of various dishes with chicken.

Chicken burgers, chicken stir-fry, roasted chicken, chicken tenders. I can name almost all the chicken dishes in the world! Oh! Spicy chicken is my all time favorite!

They chuckled as I drooled.

"Wild bird makes you that happy?" Harvey asked.

"If you like it we can hunt is more often for you," Curtis added.

His tail wrapped around my ankle as I grinned at them.

"These are for you," Curtis gave me the bag of crystals that they hunted.

"Crystals?" It took a moment for it to hit.

"They each have an individual strength and ability." Curtis explained. "It depends on the level and element of it."

I raised an eyebrow. "Isn't crystal hunting dangerous?"

"Alone? Yes. With people? Not really." Harvey said. "It also depends on the kind."

"Colosal crystals, which are green, are the easiest to hunt, also the weakest. It's only purpose is to stop aging or to power or heal something. There is only one kind of colosal creature, it is huge and has a trunk.

"Then, there are the elements crystals, red is fire, blue is water, green is nature, clear is air, and yellow are metals. They help to control the weather and are offered to the Beast Gods for the Climate Sacrifices.

"The Demonic crystals are one of the rarest crystals and more powerful. They are also one to most dangerous crystals to hunt for. They are purple and black as they are both the cures and poison.

"The Divine Stone...is the rarest and most powerful crystal that the beast world had ever seen. No one knows exactly what it does, but the legend has it that it's a beast stone that can summon The Beast God himself."

"I see! However," I grabbed both of them by their ears. "Don't do something so dangerous again!"

Harvey and Curtis gave me a pained smile.

"Anyways, what about the others (traveling group)?" I asked. In the book, crystals were very valuable and important.

Curtis raised an eyebrow. "Colossal crystals are common and easy to hunt. If they (the traveling group) try something..."

He grinned. "I will not let them off!"

I smacked my forehead. "Okay, okay! I trust your strength. Why don't we eat something?"

I meant to say, what were the others planing! I internally sighed.

***

Today finally marked the last day of travel. We had traveled about 6381 miles and traded a lot of stuff too.

As the sun rise steady in the sky, we saw the city walls of the City.

"We're finally at the City of Beasts!" I could cry with happiness.
