Journey In the Beastworld (On Hiatus)

Chapter 11 Why?

Evelyn POV

A few weeks have pasted since we moved to the Beast City. Apart from the previous situation with "most beautiful female on the Beast City", life has been quite peaceful. I was also FINALLY able to be a decent flower crown. 

And in novels, they make it look so easy. I thought to myself.

Natasha's cubs are learning to hunt and bringing home prey and wounds that Natasha have to take care of, not that she minded. Daisy is a few weeks pregnant, Javier is not leaving her side.  

I sat back in a chair watching the clouds go by and enjoying the cool wind.

"Evelyn!"

I looked towards the entrance of my home and saw Daisy walking towards me. 

"Hi! How's life so so?" I asked.

"Good, but boring!" She pouted. "I was not allowed to see you for so long!"

"Hehe! Want to go see what Natasha is up to?" 

"We haven't been together for too long!" Daisy said already dragging the to Natasha's hut.

"What do you think she's up to!" Daisy asked.

"Probably with more stories about her cubs to tell us. I actually would not be surprised if she dragged us to go see their training!" I answered.

Daisy opened her mouth to speak but was caught off. 

"Move aside! The Tiger Princess is coming through!" 

People scatter quickly, making a way for the "majestic group" to pass by.

As the commotion died down, a female bumped into us, almost pushing another female down. 

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" 

"Why don't you watch where you're going?" I snapped, helping the poor girl up. 

"Who are you to ask that? Don't you know who you are talking to?" The arrogant female asked.

Without letting me answer, she said, "I'm a friend of the Tiger Princess!" 

"Oh," I said disinterested. "I don't care." 

"You!" The female looked as she was going to explode. She wrinkled her nose, she did not like it that a female talked back to her. Not one bit. 

I rolled my eyes. "Come on Daisy, let's go," 

I looked back at the rude female. "Oh, and a piece of advice, don't wrinkle your nose, you look revolting,"

That did it. The beastmen with her growled at me. Like I'm scared.

"I will call my mates to fight you if you don't apologized!" 

I sighed, if only my peaceful life could go on. 

"Says the coward that only relays on her mates because she is too weak and scared. Oh, did that hit a nerve? Opps, I'm so sorry!" I said, facing her.

"W-who said I'm scared!" 

"Then, fight me head on without your mates," I dared. 

The little thing glared at me before making the first move. She went to push me. 

What an idiot. I thought.

All I had to was dodge and down she went. 

"I won," I did not need to spare her a glance to know that she was red in the face and panting hard. 

"Goodbye, hopefully we will not meet again," I walked away with Daisy grinning at me.

"I want to learn how to fight too! Teach me, please? Pretty please?" 

I chuckled at Daisy's hopeful eyes. "Fine, but after you give birth."

"That's a promise!" She squealed.

"Oh my god! You guys!" 

Daisy and I were current listening to Natasha's ranting. 

"You finally came! I was going to die from missing you!" She cried. 

"Natasha—" I began, but was cut off.

"Now, tell me, what has happened when I was gone?" She demanded.

Daisy was more than willing to fill her in.  

Natasha also shared a bunch that has happen to her cubs and their training because she was Natasha. 

As time passed quickly, as it always does with friends, the sky grew darker and Javier came to pick Daisy up. 

"See ya! And come back more often to see me!" Natasha yelled.

"We live basically couple of houses down, we're bound to see each other a lot!" I said. 

She sniffed and said, "Still, you guys have to see me more often! Oh-blegh,"

"Natasha?" I asked alarmed.

"Evelyn, I'm here to—" Harvey came in the hut with one of Natasha's mates.

"Harvey! Go and check if she's alright!" I said, supporting Natasha as she threw up. 

After a carefully examination by Harvey, he confirmed that Natasha was also pregnant. 

"Bye, Natasha! Also, congrats!" I called also we were leaving. 

Harvey and I walked side by side down the road in a comfortable silence.

"Daisy and Natasha are both pregnant, they will probably give birth around the same time," Harvey said as we were in front of out hut.

"Natasha is also pregnant?" Curtis asked, appearing in the doorway. 

"Yeah, their families are expanding," I said, give him a big hug.

"When will ours expand too?" Harvey teased. 

"When do you want it to expand?" I asked. I wasn't against having a family with the people I loved. 

"Now," Curtis joined the conversation, his tail wrapping around by waist.

A knock on the door ruined the moment. 

Way to ruin the mood. I thought.

Harvey went to open the door and found a beastmen with a message from the Tiger King.

"The Tiger King has an order, Evelyn will be invited for a meeting with him. Please be sure to come," 

"Thank you, please tell The Tiger King that I will be there," I said, knowing that this "meeting" probably had something to do with the female earlier in the day. 

Ugh! Now I have to deal with this Tiger King! Hopefully, he is not overbearing. But, why me? Is not clear that that female is an idiot? Tsk, well 

After the beastmen left, I spilled the events that happened. 

Curtis nodded before bring me close to home with his tail and whispered, "Let's continue what we started,"
