Jena's pov
Kayleb sat down and started playing with Carter's fingers while I talked to Taylor.
"You alright?"he asked.
"I don't trust him"
"Look even if you don't trust him he's still the father of your child and your gonna have to exept it wether you like it or not,I'm not trying to be mean bu-"
"Taylor I know,I don't need a lecture right now"I replied harshly.
Taylor put his arms up as a sign of surrender and I just shoved him while laughing.
"But seriously Taylor,what if he hurts my baby?I couldn't go through that"
"Look,as far as I know I've been more of a father to Kay than Carter,I'd never let him lay a hand on your child even if it was just to high five him ok?"
I nodded and Taylor hugged me.
"Tay!Tay!!Mommy!Mommy!!" Kay yelled out wanting to catch our attention. We both turned to him and he smiled.
"Ok,look what new-daddy taught me" he looked at us then smiled, he started playing with his fingers, pretty impressive actually, then gave us the middle finger.
I picked him up and slapped his hand.
"Do that one more time and you'll regret the day you were born"
I looked over at Taylor and he was suspending Carter against the wall. Taylor looked back at me and motioned me to block Kay's ears which I immediately did without question.
"You fucking cunt why would you teach him something like that?! He's a child you fucking idiot!"
"Is it wrong to want my son to be a badass" He replied grinning widely.
"Despite the fact that he's your son and you can do what you want with him you still remain the worst person I've ever met and the worst father." Taylor dropped Carter to the ground and walked away to sit on the couch.
"I don't think I'm the worst father, I believe we've all met Jenaveev's father"I can not believe he brought up my father!
"Ok, that's it!" I put Kay down and angrily walked up to Carter.
"How dare you talk about my father in this house! You are no longer allowed to approach my child, you come near him, I'll call the police on you and you'll go to jail again understood!"
"Jena we all know you can't keep me away from Kayleb you'll probably break and want a father figure around him. You've always been so sensitive." He said while smirking at me and caressing my cheek. He mentally patted himself on the back and I pushed his hand away.
Can't believe I'm saying this but he's right.
"He does have a father figure around him and it's me" Taylor said stepping into the conversation and shoving Carter away from me.
Carter laughed and shoved Taylor back even harder."You! In your fucking dreams!"
"How could you possibly want to be a father to this kid, you're the one who wanted to end his life!" Taylor yelled.
"What?" We all turned around only to be confronted with a sad Kayleb with tears starting to form in his eyes."I was going to die?"
Taylor bent down so he could be at Kayleb's level and put his hand on his shoulder."buddy-"
"DONT!!" Kayleb yelled pushing his hand away. He looked at me and started to cry. He then ran to his room and slammed the door shut.
