He would have forgotten what room was his if not for the labels on each room. Of course they didn't put his name, only the designated number.
He entered the room. The stench of cleaning products entered his nose causing him to dramatically gag.
Jasper entered the room and the doors dinged before slamming shut. That free time was shorter than Sonder(they're short. Just flys everywhere to hide it)
The dreaded announcements came to life "Start testing phase. Start testing phase" a robotic voice repeated before the system turned off.
After what seemed to be forever and quite the commotion outside the doors once again opened slowly to build suspense. A guard wielding a stood by the door and told Jasper "follow me"
He followed and kept track of surroundings looking for something that might be useful later on. They passed a pool with some shark fins.

A hallway turned into a larger room with a secured door. The guard and a odd looking researcher overlooked the room from a large window. Cameras where in each top corner. "Hello," a voice sounded up from the window "I hope you don't take this too personally"
"Oh. Somethings about to happen"
A red crystalline dog ran into the room from a hatch in the wall yipping wildly. It growled at the cat and bared it's little tiny teeth with hackles raised and tail stiffly waving.
He stood still not wanting to send the pup into a blind attack panic, someone took it to themselves to cause something to actually happen and played a very loud boom vine.
Both the feline and canine jumped, the slime pup charged and started biting some ankles but it didn't even do anything.
"How long to I stand here while this diseased acting gremlin tries to eat my toes," he inquired "what's this even supposed to do."
Jasper got a very dumb idea to try and pet the oversized cherry jello. The second his paw touched the slime it latched on with its teeth.
"I REGRET THIS SO MUCH!!"
He moved his paw away from his face to eliminate the danger of pink eye from its nasty little claws. In panic Jasper started spinning in place trying to use momentum to get the little bugger off.
("Hey what do you do in self defence?" Spin. Jump up kick back whip and around spin *music*!!)
The only thing the pup did was bite on harder, minty blood started leaking from the puncture wounds. He got an idea and stopped spinning, he used a paw to pry open its jaws despite its effort to attack. It fell to the floor and ran to the wall, rapidly pawing at the barely noticeable hatch. It disappeared into the wall as the arm "wounds" finished healing. Bro has that regenerative+ subscription.
"Test 1 complete" said a robotic voice. It then hit that the "researcher" was actually a protogen!
"Increase the difficulty." Mumbled the guard.
"Confirm raising difficulty?"
"Affirmative"
A mirror lowered down to cover the window and all he could see was the room and the reflection.
The protogen started another test.
"Do you take responsibility for the death of "
"Ayo what."
