Dark shadows cast amongst the floor, belonging too two trespassing humans.

They crept down a hall in the dark taking advantage of the day/night cycle down here. A computer beeped in a darkened room alerting the duo. A flashlight and footsteps approached the dimly lit screen; looks like someone forgot to log off.

The light illuminated them. One around 5'11 holding a phone, recording information while the shorter scrolled.
The battery quickly diminished as the computer died. "At least we got too record 'the toll of inflation upon the cafeteria prices' complaint email." Commented the taller one.

Footsteps echoed outside the room, sending a wave of caution into the air.
"Why'd the washrooms have to be on the other side of this place.." The passerby sleepily muttered, shining around a dull flashlight to avoid walking into a wall. Through the warm light, the two saw the passerby was a guard, probably not a very highly trained one as they didn't even have a weapon.

"Let's go else where now." Whispered the shorter. He turned away, and left without so much as a glance looking back.

Both of them couldn't shake off the feeling of unease as they reached the cafeteria. "Uh- I found this suspicious coffee stain thing!" The taller called out, and threw a lemon at the puddle, it melted into nothingness. He pulled out his phone and recorded the strange occurrence, tossing in another lemon.
When he looked up, the other was gone, probably quickly exploring the freezer.

The gleam of the small ice cream freezer caught his eye.

The next recording started awhile after, with hushed voices.

"They know we're here! What do we do?!"

"You, are going to hide and run."

"What about you?"

".."

"No. You can't."

"Laminax has beef with me, not you. You can still get out of this, this grave I dug for myself long ago. I never meant to drag you into this, Jasper."

"Hey- I agreed to come! You can't do this!"

"I have too. It's either me, or you. In no universe would both of us leave here unscathed."

Heavy footsteps echoed throughout the damp atmosphere of the shark pool.

"We're not unscathed. Imma gootraxian now! I can't go back- not like this!"

"You're right. I'm sorry.

But it needs to be done."

The shorter stepped towards the searching group with cation.

"Hiya fellas. Nice to see you again, it's been what, 14 years?"

A singular gunshot was all that was heard.

"Cadet! Why- sigh."

"Sorry Sir."

"You've lost gun privileges. Hostile duty for a month."

The guards clamoured around, while in the background hidden away, a sprinklekit watched in horror.
