After second period, I start walking to my locker to drop off my books. I have PE next, and my textbooks can't fit in my gym locker with my backpack. I turn the corner, and BAM! There's Alexis, standing at my locker. She's looking up and down the hall, tugging on her heart shaped locket. She looks in my direction, and her eyes lock onto mine. She gives me a little half smile and a wave. I calmly walk towards her, all the while freaking out inside. What is she doing at my locker? How did she know this was my locker? I s she going to tell me she wants to switch her partner? "Hi." she says when I finally reach my locker.

"Hey." I reply while turning my combination lock.

"Look, I'm sorry about this morning. I know I was rude, and it was completely unnecessary". She bites her lip and looks down at the floor. She starts pulling on her locket again.

"What are you talking about? What happened this morning?"

"When I snapped at you for looking at me in History. My ex Bryce had been bothering me before I came in. I shouldn't have taken it out on you."

"Alexis, it's fine. I should be the one apologizing. You were trying to talk to me, and I barely answered. I'm kind of awkward sometimes."

"I've noticed. Don't worry, I think it's cute." she said with a shy smile.

I just stared at her as a flush creeped up my neck into my cheeks. She just called me cute. "RESPOND YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!" my brain screamed at me, but my mouth wasn't listening. "I've gotta run, text me later since I don't have your number. And close your mouth silly, you'll catch flies." she tapped the bottom of my chin and giggled. I watched her turn around and walk down the hall. She looked back over her shoulder and waggled her fingers at me. As I watched her turn the corner at the end of the hall, the bell rang, knocking me out of my stupor. "SHIT!", I thought, "I'm gong to be late for gym." I threw a quick glance down the hall where she had been, and made my way to class.
