A fresh day and a new week of training. It was the week of the west london derby, Chelsea against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. And the team were hungry for another win. Amelia and Kai arrived a bit late as the british girl had to finish with her landlord and cancel her rent before she puts the stuff she's taking to Kai's in the boot and back of his car and dropping them off at his before heading to training.
"Finally." Mason says as the brit-german duo walk out onto the pitch. "Shut up, Mase." Amelia laughs as she stands beside him. The team listen to what Thoman Tuchel has to say before they continued their training session. Amelia, Ben, Marc and Trevoh were tasked to do some shooting with Kepa in goal, practicing his saving skills. "So, spill. What's going on between you and Kai, Amelia?" Ben asks.
"I dunno what you're talking about. We're just close as friends." Amelia shrugs her shoulders as the 5 walks over to the goal. "Oh come on, lia. Admit it, you have a crush on Kai." Trevoh nudges her and she glares at him. "I'm not admitting to something that isn't true." Amelia glares at the men. "I'm betting you and Kai are together by the end of the season." Kepa jokes and Amelia shoves him. "You four are getting on my nerves." Amelia rolls her eyes as she gets a ball and does a few keepie uppies.
After a few touches, Amelia shoots the ball into the net. "Nah, that's not on." Ben says as he has a try but ends up shooting the ball over the bar. "Ben, stick to midfielding." Amelia smirks as she heads to the back and watches Trevoh and Marc both of their shots being saved by Kepa. The group continue to practice their shooting before they join the others.
As soon as they got a break, Timo pulled Amelia aside. "Can I ask you something and you have to be honest with me, Lia." Timo says to her in a stern tone. "Sure. What's up, Timo?" Amelia asks with a smile. "How do you feel towards Kai? And I want the actual truth, Lia. No lies." Timo says and Amelia takes a deep breath. "Okay. To be honest, I like him I do. You know, he's really understanding and compassionate. He just makes me feel so much better when something's wrong and just being in his presence gives me a sense of comfort. But the thing is, Timo. I'm scared. I'm scared to love again or to be in another relationship. I'm scared to fall in love again." Amelia explains. "Lia, your my best friend now. And so is Kai. And I can see that he absolutely loves you and you love him aswell. And I get that your scared to fall in love again after last time, but maybe taking it slow before you decide to get into another relationship." Timo sympathizes with the british girl and she nods.
"Okay. I guess you're right, Timo. I'm just scared and that's the truth. Everything I told you is the truth." Amelia sighed. She and Timo head back to the others and Tuchel continues with their training session. The day did drag in the morning but by the end of training, the afternoon seemed to whizz by.
By the night, Timo and Paula decided to hang out with Amelia and Kai. The four just decided to order in for the night as none of them were in the mood for cooking. The three germans and the brit drank either prosecco or beer while talking. The two german boys didn't drink as much as the german and british girl. The two girls were passed out, Paula asleep and sat on Timo's lap, cuddled into his chest while Amelia was sat on Kai's lap, sleeping against his chest.
"I'm going to head back and put this one to bed." Timo says as he picks Paula up and carries her Bridal style. "I'm going to take Lia up to bed. nacht timo." Kai smiles as he picks Amelia up as follows Timo and a sleepint Paula. "nacht kai." Timo nods before Kai shuts the door and turns the lights out befire heading upstairs.
Entering her bedroom, Kai lays Amelia on her bed and covers her up. Just as he's about to close the door, he hears her stir and a quiet voice. "Kai." he hears Amelia call out and when he turns to look at her, he sees her awake slightly. "Yeah?" Kai asks, looking at Amelia. "Can you stay with me tonignt?" Amelia frowns. "Okay." Kai nods as he walks in and closes Amelia's bedroom door.
He lays beside her and she cuddles into his chest and immediately falls back asleep to Kai playing with her hair. As she sleeps in his chest, Kai glanced at Amelia and wonders how he got so lucky to have her for a best friend and also wonders how long it'll be until he plucks up the courage to ask her on a date.
