C.h.a.p.t.e.r N.i.n.e

The morning following the night at Tammy's hit all the players hard but Amelia the hardest. Not only did she get dumped but she drank so much that she had probably the worlds worst hangover. Waking up the next day to her alarm, Amelia looks around the room to notice it wasn't her bedroom.

Her head pounding, she became more alert to her surroundings. Loud knocking on the front door hurt her head even more. The sound of muffled voices could be heard downstairs though Amelia tried her best to get back to sleep but knowing she had training, she laid in bed, her arm over her face. A quiet knock of the bedroom door made her move her arm and she looks at the door as it opens.

"I brought you some water and paracetamol for that headache. I'll make you some pancakes aswell for breakfast. How's the hangover?" Kai asks, placing the water and paracetamol on the bedside table beside Amelia and sitting on the edge of the bed. "Horrific. Where am I?" Amelia asks, taking the paracetamol and drinking the whole glass of water Kai brought her. "I brought you back to mine. I wasn't leaving you alone in a. the state you were in. You were absolutely drunk and b. the fact that your emotions were running high despite all the alcohol following you know what." Kai informs Amelia and she grunts.

"Why did I drink so much when we have training today?" Amelia complains. "Probably to forgot about him." Kai says, knowing saying Noah's name would possibly upset Amelia. "Oh god. I didn't do anything stupid, did I?" Amelia looks at Kai with tears in her eyes as memories of last night flood back. "Apart from throw up on Kepa after your last shot." Kai says as Amelia squeezes her eyes shut. "Oh, shit. I feel so bad." Amelia says as she sits up and puts her face in her hands.

Kai moves to beside the 23-year-old girl and rubs her back. "Kepa told you it was fine after you constantly apologized and asked me to take you home. But, you fell asleep in my car and as I already said, I wasn't going to let you be alone." Kai reassures her while rubbing her back. He wraps his arms around her and the pair share a long hug as Amelia cries as everything from last night comes back, from the break up text from Noah to the large amount of alcohol she consumed eventhough she promised herself she wouldn't drink a lot.

After she calms down, Amelia pulls from her hug with Kai and he wipes her last few tears. "Better?" Kai asks, his german accent slipping through. "Yeah. Thanks a lot, Kai. For what you're doing for me eventhough I'm a drunken, emotional mess." Amelia laughs as does Kai. "I'm looking out for you, Lia. What type of friend would I be if I didn't?" Kai questions as he and Amelia lock eye contact which they hold for around a good minute before Kai breaks it. Butterflies rapidly rising in Kai's stomach while they slowly rose in Amelia's before getting stronger

"Uh, Mase brought you some clothes to change into. You dropped your keys out your pocket at the party and luckily Mase picked them up." Kai says, nodding to the clothes on the chair. "Okay." Amelia smiles as Kai shuffles off the bed and heads downstairs to allow Amelia to change out of the clothes she wore the night before into the fresh pair.

After changing, Amelia heads downstairs to see Kai making breakfast as Timo comes in through the back door. "Oh, guten morgen amelia." Timo smiles. "guten morgen." Amelia smiles back. "How's the hangover?" Timo asks, sitting beside Amelia. "Awful. I was informed I threw up on Kepa after I had my last shot." Amelia grunts.

The trio talk as Amelia and Kai eat breakfast before they leave to head to training. Kai and Timo continued to teach Amelia more german phrases and words all the way to Cobham. The three arrive at the same time as Mason, Ben and Kepa. As she gets out the car, Amelia makes awkward eye contact with Kepa following the events of the night before. "We'll leave you two to talk." Ben says as he, Mason, Kai and Timo all head inside leaving Amelia and Kepa outside.
