Alyssa was startled awake when her alarm clock rang loudly in her room at 6:30 AM signaling that it was time for her to wake up for school. Groaning, Alyssa moved the covers to get out of bed but was quickly pulled back into someone's arms. Alyssa let out a gasp before she realized that Merlin was still lying in bed next to her, smiling innocently at his mate.
"Good morning to you too," Alyssa said, as she pecked his lips.
"Good morning, beautiful," Merlin said against her lips.
Merlin leaned in closer and pressed his lips firmly against his mate's in a passionate kiss. When the pair broke apart Alyssa smiled down at her mate before slowly getting out of bed and stripping of her clothing in front of her mate. Merlin groaned at the sight of his mate for he knew that he wanted to complete the bond but he also wanted to wait for the right moment. Alyssa turned around and smiled at her mate as she grabbed her clothes for the day and made her way into her bathroom to shower.
When she got out, Alyssa quickly changed and when she reentered her bedroom, Merlin was gone. But in his place was a white and orange lily with a note saying that he'd see her at school. Alyssa placed the flower in a vase on her desk before making her way down to the kitchen for breakfast. Upon reaching the kitchen Alyssa saw her father and sister sitting down having breakfast.
"Morning daddy, Isabella," Alyssa greeted as she got herself a cup of coffee.
"Morning sweetheart. Is Merlin picking you up or are you meeting him at school?" Charlie asked as he looked to his oldest daughter.
"Meeting me at school and I'm going back to his house since Emmett and I have an English project to do. Or more likely I have an English project but Emmett is helping me since he did the same thing last year," Alyssa said.
"Who's Merlin," Isabella asked as she looked from her father to her sister.
"None of your business but since you can't keep your nose out of my business, Merlin is my boyfriend. You are to leave him and his family alone," Alyssa said as she glared at her sister before grabbing her jean jacket and keys while walking to the front door.
After getting into her car, Alyssa made her way to school eager to get into her mate's arms. Twenty minutes later Alyssa pulled into the school's parking lot and parked next to Rosalie's red BMW. As soon as Alyssa got out of her car, Merlin was at her side as soon as he saw that she how irritated she was.
"What's the matter, love," Merlin asked as he pulled her into his arms.
"Just Isabella being nosy. I have a bad feeling about her," Alyssa said as she leaned her head against her mate's chest.
"Don't worry about her. She means nothing to us," Merlin replied as he ran his long fingers through her hair.
Moments later the sound of a truck backfiring drew everyone's attention to the ugly orange truck to see a pale, brunette girl getting out of the truck. When Alyssa saw her twin sister, she couldn't help but to roll her eyes. Jasper looked at his best friend when he sensed her irritation at the new girl.
