It was the beginning of Freshman year for Alyssa Swan. All her life she had grown up with her father after her mother, Renee, chose to only take her younger twin sister, Isabella, with her when she left Charlie. Alyssa had grown to hate her mother and younger sister due to every time Isabella would visit their father she would always remind Alyssa that Renee never wanted her in the first place.
Slowly getting out of bed Alyssa went to her closet to get her clothes for the day: a red and black plaid shirt, black skinny jeans, and her knee-length black biker boots. Alyssa was a tomboy and had always enjoyed sports and when she turned thirteen her father got her a dirt bike. After taking a shower and getting dressed, Alyssa made her way downstairs to see her father sitting at the kitchen table, reading the paper.
"Morning daddy," Alyssa greeted as she kissed her father's cheek.
"Morning sweetheart," Charlie greeted back.
Breakfast was its usual silence but after Alyssa put her cereal bowl in the sink her father spoke.
"So a new family moved to Forks over the weekend. Dr. Cullen and his wife along with their six adoptive kids. The kids are starting school today so can you help make them feel welcome? Please?"
"Okay, daddy."
Alyssa was known to have a kind heart, but if someone gets on her bad side then there's hell to pay. Grabbing her backpack and keys, Alyssa made her way out to her red 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. Once arriving at school, Alyssa parked in her usual spot to see that a silver Volvo was parked next to her and that a red BMW Convertible and a silver and black Jeep were parked on either side of the cars.

Getting out of her car, Alyssa looked at the six people she had parked next to. She noticed how attractive they all were but when her eyes landed on the slim but slightly muscular guy who had short black hair it was as if she couldn't look away. Blushing when she noticed that he was looking at her, Alyssa managed to look away and made a quick dash into the school.
