Chapter 14

Elena

I stare at a painting that hung in the dinning room. the painting was of the crib Nik made for Philip, it had vines and flowers carved on the sides. there was a rounded top for the baby's head to go under and on that top a mobile was attached. it hung down just out of the baby's reach and had stars and moons dangling from it. it was beautiful I wish so badly that it still existed for my little Philip to sleep in.

"Do you like it?" The man came in.

"I love it! It was for this little guy, a thousand years ago." I told him.

"That makes since." he sat in the chair beside me.

"What does?" I asked confused.

"One day I was moving it because it was crooked and Klaus almost ripped me hand off. I never knew what was so special about this painting but I knew that it was. When I was a boy, I was a slave. My father was my master, he made sure that I was the one out of all of us slave to be beat when he was not pleased. The Mikaelson's were somewhat friends of my father, the governor. Klaus took pity on me and saved me from that hateful man. Rebekah said that it was because his father beat him. I have been a vampire for 202 years but I have known Klaus long and I have never seen him acted the way he does with you. He cried. I have never seen him cry, not even when Finn killed Kol or when Finn took hope." He was looking at the painting.

"What! No! My ex boyfriend killed Finn and my brother killed Kol." I said.

"They did but Esther brought them back." he told me.

"Why was Finn after hope?" I ask.

"Esther make a deal with her sister that if she made her infertile than she could have her first born and every first born in Esther's blood line. Finn didn't want his aunt to wake up so he tried to kill hope than Freya woke up and everything worked it's self out in time." He said.

"I have to go! Thank you." I told him as I walked out the door. I ran to find Nik.

"Nik, I need to talk to you." I say knowing that he's been listening to marcel talking. I was right in seconds Nik was in front of me.

"Esther's sister was going to take every first born in Esther's blood line, in your blood line. that's why Esther done it why she tried to make me infertile and why she tried to poison Philip. He was the first in you blood line. she was trying to keep her sister way." I tell him.

"She was trying to keep her secret of what she done from Mikael. she knew he was have her killed." he say deep in thought.

"Is Philip, hopes older brother or yonder brother." I asked. Nik shakes his head and laughed.

"I don't know." he laughed out.

Later that day just us girls hung out. hope was sitting in my lap trying to figure out why my stomach is so round and hard.

"So, how could you fall in love with a man like that?" Davina asked.

"Davina I was born June 22, 1992. I grow up with two amazing parents and a little brother. freshman year I snuck out to go to a party and I broke up with my boyfriend. I called my mom to come get me and on our way home our car drove off a bridge. At the time no one knew how I got out of the car but what everyone knew was that my brother and I were orphans. I blamed myself and my brother started doing whatever he could to make the pain go away. everyday I would go to my parents graves and wrote in my diary. I talked to them as if they were still there with me. then one day I bumped into a guy at school. he was like know one I had ever seen before. after a while of being around him I knew something was off. he brother had stabbed him in the hand with a broken glass bottle. I saw the bottle go through his hand but when he showed me, there was nothing there. he was always there when I turned around and when I was looking for him and I never once heard him come up. I cut my finger one night when we where at my house cooking, his face changed. but I only saw the reflection in the window for a moment before it was gone. I had convinced myself I was crazy till Matt my ex-boyfriends sister was attracted in the woods. when she wake up she said that a vampire had done it. we all said it was from the blood loss, after she could not remember what had done it. then there was his brother, that had started dating my best friend Caroline. she would show up with bruises and bit marks on her neck. Older people would see him and know him from the past and say he had not aged a day. I finely confronted him and he told me what he was. he said he was a vampire. it took me a while to get use it the idea and to not be scared of him. he told me everything about him and I got to know his brother better." I told them the story.

"Who is the brothers?" Cami asked.

"Stefan and Damon Salvatore." Hayley answered for me.

"I was told about a girl, a vampire that had stole their hearts when they where human. she lie and compelled them and fed them her blood. she turn people and then tried to fake her death. But Damon and Stefan could not let there love die so they tried to save her and that's when they were shot dead by there father. they told me bits and pieces of this story over time."
