The Gem's Vessel

Chapter 6

While in the other dimension

A boy's voice was heard in the big room that is filled with paintings and some history remains, big table in the middle of the room with chairs, there is a man and a woman discussing but the boy couldn't hear what they were saying as it is muffled to his ears.

He went to them furiously and was sweating after runnjng from the field to the big room that is used for meetings, he was panting hard and was unable to talk for a minute. He speaks with a panicked voice and a panicked face, his voice seems to be alarming to the both man and woman infront of him.

"They're there! We have to help!"

After he told them, they instantly knew what he meant by his sayings and move their body quickly as their mind is in defensive mode. They knew the day would come but they didn't know it was this soon. They have been under attacked for the past decades and was losing lots of brave soldiers but remain strong in the armies.

They grabbed their own weapon that was designed for them when they were welcomed by the kingdom they are currently working for. They promise to protect the kingdom while the ruler is on the leave.

They were running and eventually arrived at the field, bodies were laying on the ground with blood oozing out of their bodies, swords and weapons were heard clanging with each other, screams of pain, and sacrifices has to be made.

The man was in shock, meanwhile the woman was holding onto her weapon for dear life, her body shaking. She then whispered that no one can hear, her eyes twitching a bit before she runs down to the field to help and fight for safety.

"If they are not here sooner, we will be dead and not longer exist."

On the other while,

Angelin saw what was happening and her face was out of disgusted at the sight of the monster, it has its mouth wide and claws were out. Angelin suddenly felt an electricity from her necklace, a weird feeling to her, she then try to distract the monsters, preventing them to hurt the other humans. She distracted them by calling them names such as "Hey boogies!" "Aye green swiggly coochies!" "Oi! Babi! Oink!"

What caught their attention is not what she calls them but the glowing from her necklace, that has red ruby gem glowing colour, they fear of it but was determined to get what she has on her neck. They dropped the uninjured humans and chased her, dropping them to the ground, their claws are sharp that they runs faster than a human.

Angelin were shocked at how fast they are and accidentally ripped her necklace, thinking it would get slashed by their claws and would be beheaded by the monsters, yelping as she felt a cold metal on her hand. She dropped it and thinking it was something she accidentally took from someone.

But as she dropped it, she didn't hear the monsters running towards her anymore, a confusion on her expression was an understandment, she looked back and was eye widen when she saw a sword with red ruby gem on the handle of the sword. It was shining and it was looking like a fresh new sword was made.

One of the monster tried to pick it up but Angelin ran to it and pick it up into her hands before they could even touch it and slide inbetween their legs. She stood on their back and stabbed its back as the blood, green coloured boogie came out of its back and it acted like blood oozing out of their back, it looks like acid.

The monsters were alerted by this, fear was on their side but they still wanted to attack to attract the sword, so they jumped into the fight. Angelin was alarmed and was feeling warned that they could be dangerous, obviously, she jumped off the dead monster but before she did it, she cut the head of the monster. She fights the monsters, with sweat breaking on her forehead, swords are ment to be heavy but for her, it feels light and easy to use.

She slashed the monster's legs, hand and before cutting their neck, she also decided to make fun of them; "Guess you wont be seeing your kids!", slashing their kids maker. She has fun but she is also exhausted, the news reporter was there but let Angelin suffered alone. There are no securities that would help Angelin as they were scared, not knowing what to do, was not expected that such creatures would interfere with their world.

Meanwhile at home,

Ambri was just doing her thing and was working her ass off, doing her presentation in her laptop, frustrated at how Angelin is not coming back home yet, it is 7pm and Angelin said she would be back by 6pm. What worries her is that she had heard the news of the town getting attacked by such green creatures, sharp claws and much worse, they look like they have acid in their body.

Ashlee is also having a problem, well, it is a big deal for her actually, she cant pinpoint on which haircut she would like, she is worried about Angelin, yes. But she also wanted a haircut to survive her insanity, i mean...who wouldn't right? She also wanted a short haircut look. When she heard the news, she instant thinks about Angelin's safety. She kept ranting about Angelin getting hurt;

"What would happen to Angelin if she gets hurt?! I wouldn't want that to happen, she is always that clumsy but i trust in her, i swear. But oh my gosh! She is not really responsible to herself and cared for others. Oh no! What if she gets eaten by the creatures?! Oh, no no no no. Ashlee, let's not think about that! She can be very alarmed at times and strong so she can be okay...right? Ambri, how are you not worried?!"

Ambri just sighs in annoyance at Ashlee, clearly is also worried for Angelin, but never let anyone see it. Ambri is the type of person who never show signs of worried to anyone outside, only on the inside. Ambri responded with a frustrated groan and glare at Ashlee, stopped typing on her laptop.

"Oh please, do not worry much about her, she can be good with figthing. She is not that dumb to begin with, she can be intelligent mentally and pyshically at the same time. She even beats two big buff men before so you can calm down. Stop making other people worry about her too. Jutst do not think about it."

Ambri's reply kinda reminds Ashlee that Angelin is going to be fine, so Ashlee just huffed in annoyance and gone back to her own business. But what Ashlee doesn't know is that Ambri knows something.

She knows something that the both of her sisters do not know.

"Angelin, please be okay."

Infact, Angelin did get injured but it was a minor, well for her, she has a wound that one of the monster gave to her, it was on her arm. It was not that deep, just 1 inch deep is enough.

Angelin was anxious because she does not know what to say to her other sisters, should she say that it is just nothing to her or should she just shut up? Her mind is full of questions and exhaustion took a turn on her, but what she is glad is that the other humans are just fine, well, some are injured but it was a small deal, they just have scratches from the ground.

Angelin went home instantly after the fight and never shows her face to others, when the citizens asked who is the brave fighter, she acted like she didn't know who it was. She never wanted any attention towards herself. She would always share the attentions to her sisters, which they aren't here.

She was still amused at how did the sword she used suddenly appeared while she was fighting the creatures, not only that, the sword turned back into her necklace that she accidentally ripped while she was running and it had the same design on the sword. The small detail can be seen, if she caress it, it would shine to her a bit.

Sure she was curious, but it did not bother her much because of her energy was drained from the fight she had, green slimy stuff was on her clothes. She did not stay at the same place, she ran away from the crowd as soon as possible to not attract any attention. But she did catch someone's eye during the fight, one of the citizens. Or were they?

After some while, Angelin arrived at her safe place, her home with her sisters. She is feeling anxious at how is she gonna explain what had happened to her and where did she dissapeared. It is currently 9pm when she arrived, she is thinking whether she want to go inside or not.

Then a scream was heard from the inside, that shock Angelin to her core.
