Battle of the Knights 7

Kaydon's P.O.V.

"What the hell?"

I looked up from the book I was reading.

"Whats wrong?"

"Come here."

We scooted closer together, as she but the book down. I looked down at the book and read where she was pointing. I raised one of my eyebrows.

"So? How is that bad?"

Kayla looked at me like I was crazy.

"Read it out loud."

"When the healer heals someone for the 4th time, something drastically terrible will happen. That will only happen if he/she isn't able to control his/her powers."

I stopped.

"How is that that bad?"

Kayla pinched her nose, and sighed.

"Never mind. Just keep reading."

I rolled my eyes ad went back to reading. As I skimmed over a certain part, my eyebrows rose. Then, I read aloud,

"The new commander of The White Knights will have to be, noble, courageous, honest and most of all, kind, if they want a shot of beating the new commander of The Dark Knights. But, if the new commanders meet each other before what Fate wants, then there will be major consequences that would most likely end in death."

I stopped reading.

"Well then, looks like I don't have a shot at beating that guy."

She stuck her tongue out at me. Jeez. What a child. I stuck my tongue out at her. She rolled her eyes. We sat there reading for about 3 hours. We were interupted when Corbyn and a group of their friends walked in and up to us. I looked over and realized that Kayla had fallen asleep. I shook her shoulder. She jerked awake.

"Whoops."

Is she actually blushing? Yep. She is. Corbyn slapped one of his hands down on each of our shoulders

"What are you bookworms reading?"

I rolled my eyes.

"I was the only one reading. She fell asleep."

"It was an accident! I just find reading very boring."

This time Corbyn rolled his eyes.

"Well then, come on bookworm and miss sleepy. We are going to do sword practice."

"Nah, I'm good."

"Don't be a party pooper Kayla! Besides, you actually need to practice more. You spend to much time on archery"

She rolled her eyes. I looked over at her.

"You do archery?"

She rolled her eyes again.

"Of course I do. I do lots of stuff."

Corbyn muttered,

"Except reading."

She glared at him and whacked the back of his head with her hand.

"Ow! What was that for?"

He glared at her. She glared back.

"For being an asshole."

We all laughed at that. He flipped us off. We laughed harder. Kayla and I got up from our spots and we walked down to the training room.

We separated as we got to the rooms to put on the bulky armor.

I didn't mean to, but when Kayla came out in her armor, I got butterflies in my stomach. She looked absolutely stunning in silver. Corbyn clamped a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't even think about it. She is still my sister, got it?"

I nodded mutely, not looking away from her.

Grabbing my sword, I twirled it around my fingers. As one of the guys, Ashton, got onto the mat to challenge me, I thought, this otta be fun.
