The following night you barely even slept. In fact for the whole day you were completely out of it. Your tutor scolded you for spacing out too much and twice in a row you had used the wrong name for your servants.

You weren't mad though. You weren't crazy.

The boys are real. Maybe not alive anymore but they were talking to you, calling. And they needed your help.

The clock struck twelve the moment you heard their song echoing off the walls of the manor. And everything felt like a dreamy sequence from there; Your barefeet against the cold wooden floors, the darkness in the manor and ever so subtle moonlight.

Renjun's voice was clear as day in your ears. His soft, ringing tone singing out their song. Your heart fluttered and your footsteps quickened and before you even realized, you were already in front of the ballroom's door.

You closed your eyes, took a deep breath and pushed it opened.
The door creaked ever so slightly and as if a switched had been flipped on, the ballroom lit up and Renjun was there in the centre, standing beside the piano as he watched Chenle played.

"You're here." Your voice was breathless, heart aching at the sight of the two and when Renjun turned his gaze to you, your feet rushed up to him faster than he could even react as you came crashing into him, arms wrapping around him in an embrace.

The boy let out an awkward sound as he tried balancing himself but with you pressing yourself into him, it was a little harder to do and he almost did fall if you hadn't pull away and grabbed hold of his shoulders.

"Oh my god, you're here!" You screamed, giddy and devastated at the same time. A mix of relief and exasperation lacing your words.

Renjun let out an airy sort of laugh, his red cheeks revealing how flustered he was.

"Yeah,I am." He said, smiling.

"You're real. You're really real."

You then took out his handkerchief from your dress pocket and held it in your palm, like he had done when he'd given it to you last night.

He seemed both sorrowful and glad you were believing their existence, it seemed to be like that with Renjun you noticed. He always looked sad but often wore this small smile as if to say he was fine without actually saying it.

You found it endearing. If it were you, everyone in the room would know you were upset.

"Thank you for taking care of it." Renjun said as he took the small token into his hand, the blush in his cheeks still visible and making you awfully aware of what you've done.

"Thank you for trusting me with it. It's,uh,very pretty."

Renjun's smile widened at the comment but before he could say anything, Chenle cleared his throat.

"Hi,it's me,Chenle." He said, waving at you with a cheeky smile, which made you laugh a little before you returned the gesture.

"Hi,Chenle, I'm glad you're real too."

Chenle smiled at that, the same cheeky smile that brought out this boyishly handsome look from him.

"Yeah, now that's out of the way, maybe it'll make it easier to help us,since you know we're not figments of your imaginations."

"She thought we were imaginary?" Came Haechan's voice as he appeared out of nowhere again along with Mark and Jisung.

"You try to not be in that same mindset if you were in her shoes." Jisung said bluntly, earning a slight scoff from the older boy who simply flashed him an unflaterring smile.
