New Love

Chapter Nine: Staying Over Night

After we get done eating he pays for the meal, despite my protests and offering to split the check. After he's done paying we walk out of Granny's and decide to go for a walk.

"So, do you wanna maybe stay the night at mine? You don't have to if you don't want to tho" he says, scratching his neck nervously which I find to be completely adorable.

"I'd love to. We'll just have to stop by at Mary and David's place so I can get some clothes. Cause there is no way in hell that I'm going to wear a dress to bed" I say, laughing while holding his hand.

"Okay. Lets go then" he says and we head towards the apartments that Mary and David live in.

We walk into the building and walk up to the stairs to their apartment. We walk in and Mary turns around to see us coming in.

"So, how was your date?" She asks the two of us.

"It was great. I'm going to be staying at his house tonight so I'm going to pack some clothes" I say heading to my room and picking out some pjs and and outfit to change into when I wake up in the morning.

"Well, we're gonna go. I'll be back sometime tomorrow" I say when I come back out.

"Okay. Have fun! But not too much fun" She says, which causes both me and Killian to start blushing.

Me and Killian leave and we start walking. He leads me to his house, which is actually a really big house for one person.

"Wow, this is your house?" I ask in disbelief once we walk in.

"Yeah, I bought it in case I found a girl I truly loved so we could settle down in a fine house like this" he says.

"Let me give you a tour of the place" he says, putting his arm around my waist and guiding to room after room around his house.

"And finally, the bedroom" he says, opening the door to reveal a huge master bedroom.

"Oh my god! You sleep in this room? This is is bigger than my whole old house!" I say in disbelief.

"Seriously? How small was your house?" He asks me.

"Way too small. There were only two bedrooms and there were five of us in the house" I say.

"Really? How many siblings do you have?" He asks me.

"Two. An older brother and a twin sister" I answer.

"Really? Were you guys close?" he asks me hesitantly, not knowing if he should be asking or not.

"Yeah. Well me and my sister were. I didn't really get along with my brother. He was just too protective of me. It just got annoying. That's just one of the many things that made me run away" I say.

"Oh. What else caused you to run away?" He asks, sitting down and patting the spot next to him for my to join him.

"Lots of things. Everyone expected me to be this perfect person, which I'm not. My parents expected me to act a certain way, a way I didn't want to act. They expected me to be like them. And there's no way I'd ever want to be like them. They expect everything to be exactly how they want it. They expect everything to be perfect. But nothings perfect" I say, sitting down while putting my hands on the sides of my face.

"Sounds rough. I understand why you ran away now" he says, resting his hand on my knee and rubbing it sympathetically.

"I just couldn't take it anymore. They were causing me too much stress and I just had to get away. Most of my friends weren't much better. The only ones of my friends the didn't try to pressure me were my three closest friends. Isabella, Chloe, and Bianca" I say, quickly noticing his hand on my knee but deciding to not say anything.

"Really? No one should be pressures to be something they aren't" he says, taking his hand off my knee and putting his arm around my shoulders.

"Yeah. I'm glad that I know most of the people here won't pressure me" I say, leaning into his embrace slightly.

"I'll never pressure you, love" he says, putting his hand on my cheek.

Only when he closes his eyes and starts leaning do I realize what's happening. My heart starts beating and before I know it I close my eyes and his lips are on mine.

The kiss lasts a few seconds before he pulls away. When I look at him he has his fingers on his lips and he looks me in the eyes. Soon he looks away though, he looks at the clock by his bed.

"Maybe we should go to bed. It's getting late" he says, getting up. I get up as well and grab my pjs. He shows me to his bathroom and I get changed in there.

"So, where should I sleep then?" I ask once I'm done changing.

"If you want you can sleep in here with me" he says, getting into his bed and patting the empty spot next to him.

I think about it for a second before getting in his bed. He lets me cuddle into him and soon enough I'm falling asleep. But not before hearing him say something.

"I've missed you so much Avery" I hear him whisper before I fall asleep.
