A/n: this is going to be in Sophie's POV and I'm so sorry I haven't updated in forever. Had some stuff going on and wasn't able to. But enjoy.
I was mad. I leave for the weekend and my missing stuff that I had taken with me wasn't enough evidence that I wasn't kidnapped?
A search party was there like I had predicted. My dad on the front lawn talking to an officer and my mom was 'worried' out of her mind.
When she saw Byron's truck pull up she looked at me and ran to the truck.
"Oh my god my little angel don't ever do that to me again. You scared me so bad." she caressed my face while keeping up the act of a worried mother.
Truth be told she never put this together. My dad did. According to the officer I spoke to when I got out of the truck my dad had called reporting me missing when my mom called him asking if I was at his house.
"Officer I left Friday night with my boyfriend over there. My mom said I could go but I guess it slipped her mind when she began wondering where I was. He'll even confirm it for you. He had called her asking if it was ok for me to go with him for the weekend. I even have the call record on my phone." I told the police man.
He asked to see the call records and I unlocked my phone, changed Byron's contact to mom and then showed him where I had called her. He nodded and I put my phone away.
"This is too easy." I thought to myself.
"Mrs. Hamilton it appears you have forgotten that you agreed to letting your daughter go with her boyfriend over the weekend. She showed me where she had called you Friday night asking if she could and she said you agreed. Is this true?"
My mother looked over his shoulder at me and gave me that 'I'll deal with you later' look. Not if I had anything to say about it.
I turned and hurried inside to pack some clothes for the week that I would need. I wasn't sticking around. Not after this little stunt about caring for me when she doesn't. I'll come back when she can get her life together.
As the police cars started to disappear I told my dad where I was going and he just nodded and told me to be careful. So now he knows I'm staying the week with Byron until my mom gets a grip.
When the yard was cleared of any authority I tossed my stuff into the back of Byron's truck. I looked to the drivers side and he just looked at me with both shock and sympathy.
As I walked to the other side of the truck my mom yelled at me
"Where in the hell do you think you're going young lady? You're not leaving this house when you have school tomorrow!" She looked heated.
I walked up to her, leant into her face and said "Watch me." I started walking back but when she started her sentence I spun around.
"If you get in that truck I'll-"
"You'll what?! Not give even less of a shit about me? So basically everything you've been doing since dad left?! Blame me even more that it was my fault he left?! Well here's a big fuck you from my middle finger." I said and flicked her off. My dad had over heard everything.
"What?" Is all I heard him say before I got in the truck and told Byron to spend off as fast as he could.
**********
We drove for a while until I had enough of the silence.
"Pull over please." I asked nicely. When he did I unbuckled my seat belt and climbed into his lap straddling him.
I looked him in his eyes with my hands on his chest and whispered a small 'I'm sorry for dragging you into this'.
"Hey don't worry about it beautiful. It's ok. I'm right here. I'm never gonna leave you. I'll be right here through thick and then. I promise baby. I'll never leave you." he said as his hand layed on my cheek as his thumb ran over the tears that fell.
"You don't deserve me Byron. You deserve a girl with a functional family. One who's normal." I whispered choking back my sobs
"First of all normal scares me. And all I want is your beautiful face in my mind. No one else's. Your my number one ok? Well number three. Mom and Bethany come first but you're of the same importance." He said and pulled my face down so he could slowly kiss me.
Things were getting a bit more intense than intended. I grabbed him by his shirt collar and he grabbed the back of my neck. How it got so heated so quickly I don't know. I did know that I was enjoying it tho.
He bit my bottom lip and was satisfied when I let out a small barely audible whimper.
This relationship is better than any that I've ever had.
