"SHINOBU! Shinobu!" I call, hurrying towards the woman's office. Knocking on the door, I patiently wait for it to open.

Not long after, the door opens, Shinobu standing with a smile on her face as her gaze lands on me. "Y/n? What are you doing here? It's late, the sun will be setting soon and your estate is rather far away."

I give her a bright smile as I look inside her office for a moment before looking back at her.

"Just wanted to see if I could hang out with you! We never really talk to eachother so.." I trail off, a sudden nervousness falling over me

"Hm? You really want to hang out?... I suppose you could watch me make this poison I've been working on." She says, walking back into her office as I follow, closing the door behind us.

"You're real familiar with poisons, aren't you, Shinobu?" I ask as she hums in response.

I wonder if she hadn't been so interested in poisons then she wouldn't have had to...

I shake my head, getting rid of my thoughts.

I'm glad she got her revenge on gay-eyes or whatever, but I don't want her to have to die to get her revenge.

I smile at her as she mixes chemicals together, adding wistera into the blue liquid, shifting it into a purple color. She hums, inspecting it for a moment, before shaking her head, discarding the poison.

"Hey, Shinobu?"

"Hm?"

"You hate me, don't you?"

She pauses, standing still for a moment before responding without even turning towards me, "What makes you think that?"

"You hate the fact I'm traveling with two of the twelve kizuki."

"..."

"You're always smiling about everything, but you're always so angry. I can't understand how you stay looking so happy all the time but..."

"..."

"...Sorry... I shouldn't have— err... it wasn't my place to say that..." I stumble over my words, standing up. "I'll— I'll be going now..."

I turn around, heading towards the door but stopped when a hand caught my wrist.

I look over my shoulder, seeing Shinobu standing there with an unreadable expression. She wasn't angry, nor was she happy, I can't understand what she's feeling right now.
