The Way the Sun Rises

Chapter one

Valerie Evans had just finished setting the table when David Summers came into the room.

"Hey Runt, what did you cook tonight? Because I just want to eat you up." He started to laugh and put his sweaty hands on Valerie's hips. Valerie pushed him away but he grabbed her again. "Why are you trying to run? I wont hurt you. Much." He laughed when she tried to pull away again.

He slid his hand up her shirt and squeezed. She gasped and punched him in the nose and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. She ran out of the room as fast as she could. She smiled as she heard his cries. Someone grabbed her shoulder and stopped her where she stood. She caught his scent and gulped.

"Alpha." she whispered and bowed her head.

"We need to talk. Follow me." He let go of her and walked up the stairs. Val slowly followed. When she got to his office he shut the door. "Take a seat." Val nodded and sat down. She had only been in this room twice before, the first time when she became a member of the pack and the second when she hurt David before. Both time had been under Alpha Summer's rein. Val bowed her head.

"I'm sorry Alpha Bane." she practically whispered. He sighed and grabbed the bridge of his nose, and sighed. Val looked up at him, and turned her head to the side.

"Please, I'm not Summers, please call me Jeremiah, or Jer." Val nodded, and the Alpha smiled. His blue eyes were warm and friendly unlike Alpha Summers. "What happened down there? Did he touch you?" Val slowly nodded, and the Alpha sighed. "I do not tolerate these things. He will be punished. you may go." Val's mouth dropped.

"H-he will be punished" She stammered in shock.

"Yes child. He will. Now run along." Val nodded and left.
