Anisha's pov:
Greyson felt very joyful when he came to know I am pregnant, he is literally floating in happiness and gave bonus salaries to every employee, but he also started to behave overprotective towards me. A few days passed like this but I got a cupcake order from the nearby school before I got pregnant, and they requested me very much to present there, I too promised them that I will be there, and Greyson accepted for my sake and instructed me to be careful he even asked Jaden to go with me, after some pestering Troy also going to accompany me. As we reached the shop to check if everything was packed, Troy stayed by my side, as per Greyson's instructions to take care of me. The little one seemed determined to look out for me and made sure to let everyone know about it.
I had been having a bad feeling all day, and as I was overseeing the shop, the door opened, revealing a man I didn't want to see. It was Harichandran, my father's cousin and brother, the very person responsible for the tragedy that befell our family. I wondered how he had managed to get inside, and to make matters worse, he had three men accompanying him.
Feeling uneasy, I quickly pushed Troy behind me and instinctively placed my hand protectively over my belly. Alwin, one of our guards, stood by my side.
Harichandran: Hello dear! I came here to congratulate you!
(I stood there in silence, fear coursing through me as he chuckled and reached out to caress my hair. Flinching, I took a step back, alarmed by his presence. Before he could do anything further, Alwin stepped forward. But one of the men behind Harichandran swiftly shot Alwin in the head.
I pulled Troy close to me, the little guy showing his courage by speaking out against the threat.
Troy: Bad man! Go away from my angel!
Harichandran chuckled at Troy's bravery and then, in an instant, he snatched Troy away from me, pointing the gun at him. Desperation overtook me, and then I saw the other two guards and Jaden, along with Eugene, rushing down from upstairs.
Harichandran: If anyone takes another step, I swear I'm going to pull the trigger. Anisha, just do as I say. We can discuss everything without shedding anyone's blood, or you know what will happen to everyone else (he pointed at the unconscious Alwin on the floor) except you.
I couldn't believe the man before me was such a beast. I couldn't bear to see anyone harmed, and I trusted Greyson to handle this situation.
Anisha: "Let them go, please! I'll do anything. Please, don't harm them."
