Kazuha POV

I woke up, with a headache, in an unfamiliar room. I looked around, it looked like a hospital room.

I take a look to my left and I see heizou there. Not moving. Not breathing. Dead.

-He didn't make it- a nurse says, appearing beside me.

-No no no- I said as I shake my head.

I started crying, it hurt to cry, but I did it anyways.

I woke up with a cold sweat. I look around. My own room. It was just a dream. A nightmare.

I sigh and get out of bed. Make myself some breakfast and head out for a stroll.

I walk by the park I was at a couple days ago with Hei. I heard sobbing. I look up and see Hei, sitting on the sidewalk, sobbing, and Riya trying to console him.

-Hey, what happened?- I asked as I walked up to Riya.

-That's not my story to tell- she said- maybe when he calms down he'll tell you-

-I understand- I said nodding.

-First him, now you? Why is everyone leaving? Why did you leave me, father?- I could hear Heizou mutter. [Character stories and vision story for reference]

-I have to go to work, will you take care of him for me?- Riya said.

-Of course- I watched as she left- Hey Hei, let's get you home, it's cold outside-

I took him back to my apartment, since it was the closest to where we were.

-Im sorry, Zuzu. I'm causing so much trouble for you and Riya- he apologized.

-You don't have to say sorry, things happen- I said- Do you want to talk about what happened?-

- My father passed away in a car crash- he choked out between sobs.

-I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to-

-No don't worry. I'd have to tell you someday anyways- he wiped his tears and smiled- Thanks for being here, if it weren't for you and Riya, I don't know what I would do-

He stoop up, heading for the door, but right when he had his hand on the doorknob, he turned around, gave me a quick, but loving, kiss and left.

Heizou POV

As I left Kazuha's apartment heading for the police station, were I worked as a criminal investigator, I thought "Father never really drove, he preferred to take public transport because he's a cheapstake and doesn't want to pay for insurance... I should investigate to make sure it wasn't a murder... Or even suicide"

I arrived at the police station and barged into my bosses office.

-Madam Koujou, I would like to investigate my fathers death- I requested.

-Look heizou, I'm saying this as your friends and not as your boss, I know it's difficult, but you'll have to move on someday- she got up and walked over to me, and put her hand in my shoulder- please don't do this to yourself-

-Madam Koujou, I'm not doing this to cope I'm doing this because I'm convinced that wasn't an accident!-

This chapter is sooooo much shorter I'm just desperately trying to find something that fits... That's why the next chapter will be a filler while I'm rocking my brain on how to continue this! It will be a royal au bc medieval stuff is just 🤌
