Kim Yoona went up the stairs, a cheerful smile on her naturally pink lips. She had on her apron over a yellow floral dress, her French manicured nails looking neat and prim on her fingers as she dries them off in her apron.
Once she was in front of the second door on the right up the stairs, she raised her fists to knock on the door with a little board hanging. The name Taehyung was neatly written with a brush pen, and the whole board decorated in a purple theme.
She knocked once before chuckling as she shook her head, the occupant was still asleep, she assumed. Yoona twisted the doorknob and entered the still-dark room. The lady pushed open the blinds letting in the warm sunlight beam through it before walking over to the bed in the middle of the room.
She averted her eyes from the blanket burrito on the bed to the table on the other side of the room. All the books were left open, the stationary messily scrambled around. Of course, he stayed late to cram, this kid! He had been maintaining his perfect grades since forever and the couple could not be prouder parents.
Yoona sat on the edge of the bed before pulling the duvet off her son's sleeping frame. He had his glasses on still with his hair sticking out in all directions. "Wake up, my 'lil hard-worker," the boy shifted yet eyes still screwed tight. With a light shake of head, she pulled the glasses off his nose.
The lady soon began gently shaking his shoulder and patting his hands, "C'mon. You've class and I don't want you freaking out over missing a class." The boy Kim Taehyung cracked open his eye as slow and little as possible.
A groan worked its way up his throat as he tried to pull up the duvet yet terribly fail owing to his mother who was pulling it the other way, "Lemme sleep, mom. I want to dream more." The parent laughed, "What are you dreaming of?"
This had the boy sitting up with a sheepish smile playing on his lips, "This movie I watched last night," his cheeks flushed, "I- we-- you know... I and this guy, we almost kissed," said Taehyung with a giggle hiding his face in his sweater paws which had his mother cooing.
"And his hair was so soft and dark, his voice gentle and bold. God, mom! But I couldn't see his face 'cause it was too bright, like an angel!" he blushed more if that were possible and the lady laughed, "Guess I have good timing then. Don't want my son loosing his V card in his dream."
Taehyung ceased his laughter before staring at his parent, mouth agape, "Oh my God! Mom! You're too dirty for your age, mom." He poked his tongue out and it was his mother's turn to stare at him.
"How old do you think I am? I'm still very young, mister," she retorted flipping her hair. "So, we could try for a new baby, honey?" she heard her husband's voice from the door. Taehyung and the head of the family, Kim Jeonghan began laughing at the lady's flushed cheeks before she shooed them off to get ready for their day.
It was a usual scene in the Kim household. Kim Taehyung was a very diligent, happy-go-lucky teenager who loved the utopian lands in his head way better than reality. Let's be honest, reality sucks, hard. He was just too much in love with books and movies which had him desperately wishing on shooting stars for such a life.
They were illusionary but he believed in miracles. He had not much friends and only his head. Taehyung was rather a homebody and never liked to tire himself out over anything, a typical bookworm, if you might.
He believed in virtue begets virtue and vice begets vice. Taehyung was a staunch believer of happily ever afters and happy endings. He was just too optimistic about life. And maybe it's a good thing or maybe it would prove him wrong as life went...
But none would believe he had no friends. He was the epitome of perfection. He was just an average looking student till middle school but boy, oh boy, did puberty hit him so fucking hard! It was not exactly like the others but he was beautiful in his own way.
While the other guys in his class became bulky as if models for steroids, he looked petite and feminine like a fragile beautiful little porcelain doll. His waists had become thinner and his hips and upper body looked a little wider. But he'd cover himself with baggy clothes 'cause it's always comfort over beauty, bitches!
The moles on his cheekbone, his eye, his nose and lips were a natural beauty mark and his golden blond hair was always neatly styled to enhance his features. He originally sported a headful of raven hair until he took a liking to experimenting with various colours.
His eyes were like beautiful almonds crested on his face, the hazel orbs swimming in the pool of white. Taehyung's lips were just so kissable. They were a shade of peach, looking soft and smooth despite the student making no efforts whatsoever to actually maintain anything.
Thanks to all these, he naturally became a target. Both in the positive and negative ways. Some approached him to be his friend, genuinely. While to some, he became the butt of ridicule. They hated him for how soft he looked- it was mostly the girls- and they'd ask him if he's really a guy or a girl.
But things took a turn for the worst when someone outed that he was gay. It was in the beginning of high school when Taehyung had developed a crush on one of his friends, Jackson Wang. The guy was six feet of hot meat and an aura screaming daddy.
Taehyung being too young and inexperienced with literally everything mistook the guy's care and attention to his feelings being reciprocated. Thus one night when they were studying together, the then-brunet had leaned in for a kiss.
Wang at first contemplated getting into the boy's pants then later remembered one of Taehyung's cute gal pals who he's been desperately trying to sleep with. She wanted shit to bring down Taehyung and Jackson decided this could be the price he pays to fuck her senseless.
Then the rumour broke out- about how Taehyung was a fag, a slut who likes to spread his legs for men. After that, it was only natural that he was bullied. The poor student was bullied to the point where he would stay in a cubicle in the men's room for the whole day just to escape some vicious eyes and lips.
It became worse. So bad to the point where some male students would corner him and try to force themselves on him. But his parents were completely oblivious as to what their son was going through.
Taehyung loved and cherished his parents that he would do anything to keep them happy. And he knew if they were to know his real life, it would break them and worst case scenario could stress them out and maybe even strain their bonds. Well, he was an avid over-thinker.
"Bye, guys!" he grabbed a slice of bread and gulped down his glass of milk before waving to his parents and rushing out the door. He ran to the end of the street with a slice of bread between this lips and his earphones plugged in as he reached the bus stop.
Had he been a few seconds late, he would have missed the bus. His seat on the front was unoccupied as usual. People loved talking behind his back and just like that the others always sat in the seats behind him while he peacefully sat on the front.
A new day, let's get it! Fighting!
