The sun had just peeked out of the horizon, slowly awakening every little bird in its rise. The dark sky littered with glimmering tiny balls of fire was slowly starting to fade into hues of purple then to a pleasant baby blue.

Transient fluffy white clouds had replaced the twinkling heavenly bodies. Birds had just woken up in their little intricately made nests and had begun their songs as some melodious alarm for the other sleepyheads.

But it had been morning at the Kim household since way before it was morning. Taehyung was cheerfully humming his favourite tunes as he busily moved around the kitchen fixing up his parents' favourite for breakfast.

Pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate may not scream special but hey, it depends on how one makes it. Taehyung made sure to give his all after a whole lot of failed YouTube cooking videos and cook books. He either failed to catch up with them or he fell asleep.

He carefully set the two plates with the sweet breakfast on it. A stack of four pancakes on each plate with some whipped cream neatly fluffed near it and maple syrup heartily drizzled over the delicacy.

Catching a glimpse of the time, he quickly set the plates on a tray along with two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice- with a lot of pulp just how his parents liked it. Once the blond felt it was satisfying enough, he carried it to the master bedroom.

Skillfully balancing the tray on one hand, he knocked on the door before pushing open the door- cause you don't wanna see your parents do the good good, yuck! Taehyung set down the tray on the nightstand before opening the blinds of the room and let the streaks of light in.

This awoke the couple as they began stirring and sighing. "C'mon you potatoes, it's your anniversary! Show some spirit!" he hollered and this had the two sitting up. "Jeez, honey! Even the alarm's letting us sleep, why!" Yoona groaned and her son chuckled at this.

"It's your anniversary!"

"What anniversary?" Jeonghan woke up sitting against the headboard as his wife. Taehyung rolled his eyes rather dramatically and sighed, "Well, seeing you guys are still alive, it's obviously death anniversary."

Taehyung pulled away their blankets before setting up the tray on the bed for his parents. Yoona was very much taken back by the thoughtful gesture and her eyes glistened, "Oh baby, this looks wonderful!"

The blond smiles shyly, "Well, I thought I'd make you guys feel special today." She ushered him to her side to hug him and pecked his temple, "You didn't have to, honey. You make us feel loved and special everyday without even trying and that's more than enough."

Taehyung knew this but he always felt grateful. The way they put their all to raise him up so well into the person he is always made him feel he'd always be in debt to them. So he never felt it tiring to do something, anything for his parents. The lovely people who loved him so much.

When he first came out to his parents, they were nothing but supportive and only encouraged him saying: "Love is love, honey. Find yours and know we'll always love you, no matter what 'cause you're our world, our beautiful galaxy, baby."

The teenager wished his parents a happy anniversary once again before he walked away to his room to get ready for his day. Anniversary or not, he still had the fucking school to go to. Why can't there be some pandemic so the government would tell us not to get out and let me sleep like a cat, he sighed, only in your dreams, honey.

Once he was all done getting ready for school, the blond rushed down to the living room where their parents were settled. He had an apple in his hand and a glass of milk which he quickly gulped down before setting on the coffee table.
