Felix climbed into the backseat of the car and immediately shifted his weight. Despite doing very little all day, he felt incredibly weak. He arrived at his flat quickly because it wasn't far away.
While everything was happening, Chan jumped in his car and sped off to Felix's house. When he eventually arrived, Felix had just left his cab fee. The younger was still shivering in his legs and hadn't seen him. As the car sped by him, he shut the door, and that's when he noticed Chan standing next to his vehicle. Felix didn't know anything else at that time, so he just started moving as quickly as he could. Then, he felt completely sober.
"Felix, wait!" Chan shouted but that didn't make the younger stop. "No, please wait." He yelled once more as he dashed toward Felix. Felix was racing even faster at this point, but Chan was outrunning him and caught him by the hand before he could get any farther.
"Wait...." Chan said as he huffed while Felix stopped and shook his hand away from the elder. "Let's talk." He added.
Felix looked other ways to avoid eye contact with Chan as the elder spoke. "....I'm sorry... for assuming things." Chan explained.
Felix stayed silent that just made Chan desperate so he spoke again. "Sorry I wasn't the bigger person in this picture. I guess I was jea-
"Hyung, let's stop this." Chan was astounded when Felix finally spoke.
"What do you mean?" The elder asked.
"Whatever we are doing right now, let's stop this. I really don't want to hear how you assumed things."
"No, I just wanted to fix the misunderstandings."
"There's nothing to fix. What do you think about Changbin hyung and I have nothing to do with me. We broke up. Three years ago."
Chan was shaken by the reality hit he had just experienced.
"I'm sorry about what I did last night, I shouldn't have asked you over." Felix spoke again.
"No, no.... I shouldn't have hugged you either.... Sorry."
"Yeah, I guess it's better to end it here. Let's ignore each other in the future as it seems we will encounter each other often." Felix chuckled.
"I don't know about that...." Chan scratched the back of his neck.
"I do remember saying I didn't like you last time so it doesn't make sense if we act like this. It's making me feel awkward." Felix said looking straight at Chan now.
"Right." Chan just shook his head looking downwards.
"Have a good night." Felix said before walking inside the apartment building.
"You too." Chan said in an almost inaudible voice. He felt conflicted about this situation. He didn't anticipate Felix to flatly reject him in this manner. He didn't expect to start seeing him so quickly, but he also didn't expect being so distanced from him.
Felix stopped considering it; all he was aware of was the fact that his semester began in two weeks and that he needed to get ready.
But perhaps fate wasn't quite ready to allow Felix to veer off course yet.
"Hello, class. I'm Bang Christopher Chan. I will be your assistant teacher for the Music Composition course." The guy with dimples in front of Felix said with a wide smile.
'what the fuck is he doing here?' Felix thought to himself as he struggled to comprehend what was happening and why Bang Chan was present there as a teacher's aide. 'is he old enough to be here?' .
The youngster was already perplexed despite the fact that the semester had just begun.
