-Virgils pov-

I walked on Romans right side. This 'princess' would not stop whining, it was always something, 'I missed you so much!', 'my feet hurt! Please carry me!', 'I thought you loved me!', she was getting on my nerves. And she kept touching Roman, even when it was clear he didn't want to be touched.

She kept talking in a very loud and high pitched tone. I flattened my ears so I couldn't hear her as well. She once again touched Romans arm, Roman smiled awkwardly. She's making him uncomfortable so, I hissed at her. "Oh shut it rat" she said, Roman glared at her, "can you stop calling him that? He just doesn't like new people, if you give him time and actually try to get along with him, I'm sure you two will be just fine" he said, trying to smooth things over, he obviously didn't understand that she was a threat, why was he treating her like a friend when she's obviously not?!

"N-no-t f-fr-friend" I muttered, Roman looked at me confused, "we can talk about this later okay?" He said, trying to be kind. I just rolled my eyes and walked off, if he wanted to be with that whiny, spoiled princess, fine. Its not like I care.

-later- no ones pov

Roman had finally gotten away from her. He walked into his room to see Janus, Remus' hand-picked personal guard, sitting on Remus' bed, Remus lend against him in his lap, which wouldn't have been so unusual other then the fact that Virgil was cuddled up against Janus, his ears flat against his head, and his tail wrapped around his own leg. Virgil looked over to see Roma, Roman smiled, "hey V, you okay?" He asked softly but, as soon as he walked over to him, Virgil got up and walked away.

Roman was very confused and slightly hurt. He turned to Janus and Remus, "whats going on with him?" He asked. Janus shrugged and turned the page of his book, "he came in stuttering about a spoiled bitch and her being a threat but you agnored him" Janus replied.

"Oh....."

A few days want by, Emily kept visiting, Virgil began to get closer with Janus and Remus. Roman felt horrible for not being able to be with Virgil but, he just didn't know how to help him.

Now, Virgil was sitting on Romans bed, drawing, when Remus walked im with Janus, "oh Virgin~" Remus called, Virgil honestly had no idea why Remus kept calling him that, his name was Virgil but, he wasn't sure if it was some kind of human custom so, he let it slide.

Virgil looked up and tilted his head in a silent question, 'what is it?' Remus smiled, "we're going to host the annual ball here! And, there's going to be plenty of handsome men there~" Remus explain, Virgil rolled his eyes at the last part before realizing something, maybe if he was able to, he could make Roman feel jealous after all, two can play at that game.

He smiled as Janus walked over and sat down beside him, "don't try any tricks Virgil, this is a chance for you to move on" Janus said, Virgil simply shrugged. "W-wh-en i-s it?" He asked, they looked at each other, "in two days" Janus responded
