The search for Theodore had been going on for a week now, they managed to find the theatre building Prim was taken to and had found it completely destroyed with everyone still inside.

Most of them died from the explosion but some got trapped between the rubble and died slowly, there wasn't a single survivor.

She suspected Theodore had done it, it had to be him it all fit together like a puzzle.
The people who were in the building were all wealthy aristocrats.

The cruel politicians and filthy rich noble men, they had something to do with the royal families assassination and they were most definitely the puppeteers controlling her father.

Her father was stressed beyond words, he had to actually run a kingdom now, no more sitting down on a throne and enjoying the luxuries simply handed to him.

She sighed getting up from the window bay and throwing down the same book she'd been reading over and over again.

She wasn't allowed to go out until they found Theodore so she was stuck at home, Alexander was always out with the search party.

Hunting down his own brother, it was strange but he seemed desperate to find him. The bruises they had found on her body made him furious.

Being at home inside all day wasn't something she was fond of, infact she hated it quite frankly.
She had almost read every book in the library and kept rereading those she liked over and over again.

She found fun in playing with her hair learning all the types of ways she could style it.

The door opening made her snap out of her thoughts as she turned her head over seeing Alexander walking inside and placing his coat on the chair.

"How was it?" She mumbled quietly walking towards him, the answer was clear it was always the same thing.

"We have a lead, a young commoner woman living in the mountains claimed a man with the same descriptions of Theodore came knocking at her door and stayed the night." Her eyes widened.

She was wrong they'd actually gotten a lead after a week of nothing, he put his arms around her pulling her in.

"I'm gonna find him." He spoke into her ear softly,
She looked up looking at him with shocked yet hopeful watery eyes.

"I'm sorry." He said with a breathy voice, she looked up raising her eyebrows confused.

"I really am sorry, I'm sorry for everything." Her lips formed a small frown feeling a sudden tension in the air.

"You deserve better, so much better." He whispered sweetly into her ears as she sunk her face into his chest feeling the sudden urge to burst into tears.

"You're so good." His words spoke directly to her, his words made her feel encouraged and the unfamiliarity of it was somehow comforting.

It's something she wanted people to say to her, she had always felt unappreciated and a burden to those around her, a people pleaser? She was most definitely was.

But no one were there to please her, no one held her in their arms and told her that it was all going to be okay.

Not even her own mother, the women in her life told her the most suitable love of all was one that revolves around worshipping.

However she didn't want worship, she wanted understanding. She wanted someone who could read her like an open book.

Someone who could explain her feelings to her because she had no idea what she felt or anything.

Alexander was a strange man, he was a ruthless cruel man when she first met him but now she found herself in his arms quietly sobbing into his chest.

How weird it was to enjoy the embrace of the man who ruined her life, chewed up her dreams and spat them all out.

In a weird way she was like a lilac, once a white lilac living in purity and innocence and now she was a magenta lilac, with love and passion running through her blood.

The day she found those white lilacs and decided to put them in a plant pot was never one she thought she would find so meaningful.

She choked back on her tears looking up at him as his hand reached out to wipe her tears away,

"I should've been been keeping your tears away not being the reason for them, forgive me sweet girl." He placed a feathery kiss on her forehead.

A knock coming from the door made her break eye contact as her gaze fell onto the door, he however was still looking at her hardly paying attention to the person outside.

She gently pushed his hands away and walked up to the door quickly wiping her tears away beforehand, her mother stood there at the door with a basket in her hands.

She glanced over at Alexander and then took a look at Prim seeing her face red from crying, she clenched her teeth and walked over to Alexander suddenly landing a hard slap on his face.

"Why is my daughter crying?!" She yelled angrily as he stared at her shocked while holding his face in his hand.

Prim stood behind her mother in shock,
"M-mother it's just been hard you know being a v-victim of such a thing." She stammered feeling her mothers angry eyes piercing through her.

Upon hearing the word 'victim' her mothers eyes softened as she walked towards Prim cupping her face in her hands.

"Victim? Oh my dear Rose, you're a survivor."
